    Default Vitex and Luteal Phase

My longest lp is 14 days and that only happened once. It's usually between 11-13 days long. Today I am 15dpo and no sign of af but have had two bfn's (yesterday and Saturday). I chart my bbt and Saturday and Sunday my temps were taken 2 hours later than usual so I adjusted my temps by subtracting .1 degree for every 1/2 hour I took it later. I'm just wondering if perhaps I didn't really ovulate at all?? Here is my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4d4c4 Oh and this is my first cycle on Vitex. I'm just wondering if the Vitex has made my lp super long??

Don't worry. I wouldn't have known what all these terms meant either without ttc with fertility issues. The luteal phase is the days after ovulation to af.

Hmmmmmm....... Mine was shorter. But I'm basing that on 1 cycle and a normal LP of 17 days. My LP the cycle I was on Vitex was 16 days, so not shortened by a lot. Very weird. I wonder if Vitex can cause delayed BFP's for some reason?? I didn't get mine until 30DPO.

Thank you Becky! I'm not having any symptoms of pregnancy or af coming. It's very weird as I have all the signs of ovulating 15 days ago. How were you for symptoms of pregnancy before your bfp? I just find this very odd iykwim.

I think Vitex usually lengthens LP. I do think you O'd, too.

See, that's the weird thing. I think because I kept testing BFN, I had convinced myself I wasn't pg, so I don't remember having a ton of symptoms. I had nausea 3 & 17DPO, cramping pretty much from 3DPO (nothing really bad, just a fairly constant mild AF cramp). DH and I both had baby dreams the same night a couple days before our BFP. But I really didn't have too many symptoms until a week or so after my BFP.

Okay thank you Becky! I didn't have alot of symptoms with dd either until a few weeks after my bfp (I tested when I was about 2-3 days late and it was the faintest of faint bfp's on First Response). Just had the occasional wave of nausea and that was it. But I wasn't looking for signs either as she was a surprise.

I know they say that Vitex can lengthen your lp and that was why I took it in the first place but I didn't want it to be 18 days long, iykwim! LOL! Guess I'll just keep waiting and temping. *sigh* Will keep you all posted.

My temp really dropped today! Still no af though. I'm starting to think that maybe I really didn't ovulate after all....

Did anyone ovulate the first month on Vitex?? If not, how long did it take to resume ovulation??

I've signed up for a trial of Ovusoft and it's saying I haven't ovulated yet. *sigh*
