Has anyone experienced nausea while taking Vitex? I just started taking Vitex this past Monday and have been nauseous off and on since then. I'm taking it in the morning, currently. Do you guys think that taking it in the evening (before bed) would help with the side effects???
help!

It's not a s/e I ever had. How much are you taking? I would give it some more time (maybe switch to evenings) and see how that goes. If you don't find the nausea goes away I'd stop. Sorry this wasn't much help. I hope someone who has experienced this can help you better.

Hey, thanks so much for responding! I'm taking the GNC brand which is 500mg. I'm only taking one per day as the directions say. I did research it online a little and it said that nausea was a s/e I was just hoping to hear from some cysters.
I think I'm going to try and take it in the evenings and see if that helps.
Thanks again for responding!

I'm also taking the GNC brand at 500mg. I have not experienced nausea, though I have only been taking it for about 5 days now. Sorry I can't be much help.

I take the GNC brand as well. No Nausea.
As a hard and fast rule, I never take any supplement on an empty stomach, unless of course it was recommended to do so. In my case, I have never seen one that did. IF I took them on an empty stomach I would most certainly be nauseas. I take my supplements after my morning meal and then after my noon meal. I pack them in those 7 day planner things so its a breeze to even pop in my purse if I am on the go. Hope this helps.
Im taking vitex - 400mg three times a day. I have had no nausea. I take it with meals. I have been on it for two months, and the only thing i have gotten is a 28 day cycle two times in a row an zero acne on my face! Yeah!! I really love vitex...but thats me. everyone is different.

Don't know if you're still looking for a response to your query, but I recently started taking Vitex (about 2 1/2 weeks ago) and did experience some nausea after the first few days. It only lasted for about 5 days and now I don't feel it at all. Other than that, I've been taking my temperature every morning and it seems to have become a little less erratic and I've been spotting for about 2 weeks. No signs of ovulation yet - it's early days yet, though.
I know it can take a few months before you see any regulation to your cycle. It would be interesting to hear from others who have taken Vitex - did things 'get worse' before they got better? What was it like in the first few weeks/months? After your cycle regulated, did you keep on taking Vitex? If you stopped, did your cycle become irregular again?
I started taking it a mo ago, 400mg and I didn't have nausea. Then I upped it to 1200 mg, and had a migrane like headache in the back of my head. That only lasted a day.
My question, has anyone had pg symptoms as s/e of Vitex? My sense of smell has heightened, I can smell things a room away, no joke... and bb's are sore.

I took Vitex for two days and the second day I ended up really sick to my stomach. I barely made it home before I vomited! I actually POAS afterwards because it's so unlike me to be THAT nauseous! It was a BFN though. I have taken Vitex before at the same dose, but my body just didn't like it this time.
