Default Vitex question

I ovulated after 4 weeks on Vitex(1ml+1cap/day) and my LP was about 1-2 days longer than before. I didn't take vitex during my last AF for 5 days and began to retake it after AF. Today is my CD24 and I know I still not ovulate.I have been on Vitex for 10 weeks and I thought it was working since my last LP was longer than before, but why it does not work well to improve my ovulation and make it happen earlier?

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know your LH and FSH levels? because if your LH is high, then vitex may not work for you. It causes an LH surge...or maybe did the first 4 weeks you take it straight and then mentioned you didn't take it for 5 days...maybe that threw the cycle off? just thinking out loud here.

hth,

I just got my blood work result. All hormone levels are in the normal range. However my LH:FSH is 1.5: 1. My dr said everything is fine but I don't think so. My cycle is always longer than 35 days and I am wondering if the ratio means I have to do something for the high LH compared with FSH. My FSH level is a little bit low even in the normal range. Perhaps that is the reason why I can't ovulate everymonth.

However I remember there was some posts saying that Vitex could balance LH and FSH in PCOS if your LH is high already. I am confused now.
