I am new to this great site and would appreciate any advice you can give me.
I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and have been TTC#2 for the past 13 months. I have been taking Vitex plus FUR for past 7 days and have just started spotting lightly yesterday - I am on Day 19 of this cycle. I have never had this happen mid cycle before so assume it is something to do with the Vitex?
Can any of you who have used this herb give me some advice on what to expect and if anyone can tell me how long before they started to ovulate that would be great too!
I have been taking GNCs vitex for about a month and a half now, and about a week after i started taking it, i started spotting too! I dont know what it was, but i had assumed it was the vitex. I spotted for a few days, and then it went away. A few weeks later, I got AF after 9 months of not having it at all! AF is still here, 3 weeks later, but I assumed it is because i havent had it in such a long while. I am not sure if i Oed or not though so far. Hope it works for ya!

At least I know now I am not the only one this has happened to!
Don't think it is ovulation spotting unfortunately, however is lightening up now so will wait and see!
Are you charting your temps at all, or using a fertility monitor?? I myself am not, because i have a hard time remebering in the morning to take my temperature, and I was told that the monitors dont work with women who have PCOS...I know when i was on clomid the OPK sticks didnt give me accurate readings at all. Then again, I was told that with clomid the OPKs wont work either.....
Either way, i wish you tons of baby dust! Let us know what happens!!

I had spotting too with vitex. I thought AF was coming but it turned out to be implantation bleeding. I wasn't temping and didn't realize I O'd. Three weeks later I felt very nauseous and found out I was pg.

Update to the spotting - it is now turned into a definite AF. However progesterone cream gave me AF also but no ovulation so I am hoping this cycle I will ovulate at last with the vitex!
I've been taking vitex for about 1 month and I started spotting, it never happened to me before and my blood hormone test deteriorated after taking vitex, I think it is vitex to be blamed. I stopped taking vitex, it did not work for me.
i had the same exp. spotting for about 3 days but its been about a week and a half since then and no spotting at all or AF. I have terrible cramps though and have been abnormally tired. Is this normal. How long after spotting should AF arrive? could it have been implantation bleeding?
Vitex, spotting can you help?
