I have been ttc for about 6 months and decided to go see a fertility specialist. After having the first set of blood tests done, he suspects pcos because my LH:FSH ratio was a bit high (~1.5). My LH is 13 and FSH is 8.4. What do you think? Everything else tested (TSH, prolactin, and estradiol) were all in normal ranges. I am waiting for my next appointment, to have an ultrasound and further blood tests (androgen, glucose, etc). The strange thing is I don't think I display any of the typical symptoms. I am normal weight (~115 lbs, 5'4"), no acne, no hirsutism, and I have a very regular cycle (usually about 28-30 days) with ovulation around CD15-CD18. I've already adjusted my diet to a low GI, cutting out all sugars and lots of bad carbs. I've also started running 3 days/week. I know I have to wait for the next set of tests to confirm or refute the suspicion of my dr... but I am impatient and want to know what you all think the liklihood is? Are those LH/FSH numbers that suspect?

I read that LH higher than FSH is a sign of pcos, which is probably why the dr wants to order more tests. There are many symptoms of pcos and some women don't have a lot of physical symptoms. Good luck with your testing.
