Well I called the agency today about doing the homestudy and she is going to mail me a licensing packet that I have to fill out and send back in BEFORE they will even date the homestudy. We have to do a Adoption Foster parenting license that is 6 hours also anyone else had to do this? Said it's because it's a interstate adoption. (sigh)
I wish she had sent this to me the last time I talked to her. Maybe it will be here by Sat. and I can get it back in to her by the begining of the week. Geez. WAit wait wait......

When we took our foster to adopt classes we had to take a 6 hour course on just adoption. But that was because we wanted to do the foster to adopt, if we had only wanted to foster we wouldn't have had to take that class.
I am not sure about needing it for interstate adoption.
No matter what I think the wait has got to be the worst.

I didn't have to have any foster classes.. And we adopted interstate or whatever... I just did a regular home study... I don't know if that helps any..
It's an Illinois requirement. We didn't have to take a class, our agency had us do a workbook about international adoption and also read any other book about adoption and basically give them a book report on each to meet the requirement.
