I'm thinking way ahead here. I asked them about creating a team of walkers all across the country. Here's the reply I got:
Next year what you can do is form what we call a family team. The local office where you are can help you to do that. Once that is created, it will be on the data base in the online fundraising form. So anyone across the country can locate your specific team name, register for that team and walk in any walk in the country in the name of your team.
I was thinking we could create a Soulcysters team? Just thinking aloud here - what do you think?

I think it's a great idea! My walk was today - it was good. It was nice to feel like I at least did SOMETHING to fight prematurity. However, it was mostly groups....and my husband and I were among the few "individual walkers"...so it would have been nice to be in a group of some sort. By the way, I decided at the last minute (3 days before my walk) to at least TRY to do a little fundraising and at least get a t-shirt to wear....and I ended up raising $500 and my DH ended up raising $300....I couldnt believe so many people were willing to give so generously, and with such short notice. I will really put forth more effort next year. | |

As soon as they let me set up a walking page, I'll create the team. The walks are usually in April-May, all around the country.

There are a few of us in my town, maybe we can walk together? I like running too so let me know if you want to expand this walk/runs to more than just that one. We could do generic t's so we can wear them at every race.
