I have had a dream of wanting to adopt for a long time, right back to my teens, long before I thought I had PCOS.
I am single and am happy that way yet I would love to share my life with a child, someone to love and someone who'll love me back for looking after them.
I have normally got my confirmation of PCOS yet, it will be November before I know for sure but I am pretty 99.9% certain and have been for years I have it.
I am going to work really hard at losing some weight, so perhaps in a few years I can formally start the adoption process.
I think this part of the board is going to be great to pick up a lot of hints and tips...
For now you can start looking in to where you want to adopt from (I don't know if the UK has weight requirements but many countries have no weight requirements).
There's a great thread at the top of this forum w/ some links to different adoption topics.
Good Luck!

Yes I hear he UK has some weight requirements on adoption, which is so sad when there are so many children out there that need a loving home... I am hoping to drop around 100lbs then take it from there....
I just wanted to say hi and welcome you and say that we're all here for ya. I wish you the best in your decision and also lots of support with the WL. You can do it Good luck.

Your right, losing weight isn't easy, well my problem is KEEPING It off. I lost 50lbs doing WW before and watching my carb intake BUT hit rock bottom and gained it back, but it was my fault, I shouldn't of done that. Sooo here I am again, I need to get my butt in gear and do this to. I"m gonna try. I would like to lose some before we head up that way to bring our son home. Will make me feel so much better all the way around. Ever need a WL buddy YELL
