My Mood: Points: 41,198.60 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 41,198.60 | Hi girls I need some help and advice. Mainly reassurance.
I have PCOS and widespread mild endometriosis. This is my first pregnancy. Im 17 weeks and 3 days.
Yesterday my hubby and I was intimate and I had a real strong G spot orgasm
In the night I had some pelvic pain like a trapped nerve, I prodded gently and the baby moved and the pain went.
Then started the cramping. The cramping has been non stop today, sometimes getting bad. I called the hospital and they said they think it is a UTI. I dont think it is a UTI, I have had plenty and this seems like period pains and pressure.
I just wiped and I saw some jelly mucus. The pains have now gone. I get niggly pain now and again, dull period type pain. Im really starting to get worried now. I am visiting the pregnancy assessment unit tomorrow, I will ask them for a cervical scan? I hope they agree to do one for me. I feel so bad and never want to have sex again To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Im so worried for my baby, I hope Im not going into premature labour. My endometriosis causes a lot of pelvic pains on growing and stretching, but I still am shocked by this incident.
Someone reply if possible
Thanks

I'm very serious about this being as my mother lost 6 babies before they figured out she had a IC. I am 24 and for 9 years have been trying to have #1. #1 is in there and moving around as I type. After 9 years i dont wanna lose this. So all I can say is demand things, don't ask. Get pushy, get evil, get what ever it takes. Good luck. |

i made a topic yesterday because i was having bad constipation like cramps and just a little bleeding. called the doc and she said i was dehydrated and to drink 4 glasses of water and go to bed. i did so, and all cramps are gone. but now im worried about incompetent cervix. seams i did have some of the symptoms of it. but my question is.. if it was IC would the cramps have gone away or just kept comin? i am totaly freaked out about this and my doc apt is not until tuesday. also i am almost 22 weeks pregnant. |

My Mood: Points: 7,719.64 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 7,719.64 | amprecious~I dont want to scare you with my reply, but with my son I was 21 wks pregnant and had what felt like constipation/gas pains for a couple days and everyone kept saying its just part of pregnancy I continued taking fiber pills and even drank prune juice and no BM. After the weekend and the pains coming and going I decided to call my obgyn I went in for an u/s they did one abdominally and everything was fine but when they did it transvaginally with an empty bladder I had no cervix left and by time I got my uterus calmed down to have an ER cerclage done it was to late I was already dilated to 6 with membranes bulging. My advice is if you feel something is not right call the doctor and INSIST on a transvaginal u/s to check your cervix. I waited and ended up losing my son

My Mood: Points: 3,015.25 Bank: 8,074.32 Total Points: 11,089.57 | Just to add a little more advice,
I had absolutely NO symtoms of IC with my son. I went in for a routine US and ended up being rushed back up to OB and later that day got an emergent Cerclage! I was 2 cm. with visible membranes and NO cervix left.
Other then being a little tired the couple days before, and kinda crampy ( which I attributed to just beng 22 weeks pregnant ) no one was more shocked then me, at what ended up happening.
If your worried, by all means have it check out. But IC isn't very common and its hard as HELL to get a "true" diagnosis. I was very lucky. We caught mine in time, and I was able to carry my son to 36 weeks.
Too many women have to suffer loss after loss before they get a "true" diagnosis.
Best of luck to you!! I hope that its not IC and that you are able to have an uneventful, full term pregnacy To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Points: 19.59 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 19.59 | I have a question...I know it probably has been answered many times but I am having some pc issue and its very hard to go back and look through all the past post.
I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first child was born at 27 weeks...due to IC which went into PTL. With this pregnancy I had a cl u/s at 17 weeks. my c/l was 2.15 cm. I had a cerclage place at 18 weeks 6 days. everything has been going well so far. I also get a P17 shot weekly. My last cl u/s after the cerclage measured at 2.36 cm. My question is this....what kind of restrictions do you all have. My doctors (OB and peri) have told me no sex or orgasms...try to stay off my feet more often then not. But I start a lecture class on the 12th...its 8hrs 1 day a week and both say that will be fine. I am allowed to go on outings and such so no real bedrest. But I am starting to worry mainly because I have read so many sites and such where most restrictions are more than mine. |

My Mood: Points: 7,719.64 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 7,719.64 | scottysgurl~ I was on moderate bedrest after my cerclage which was done at 13 weeks then my cl went to 0.5 and into the hospital I went that was at 22 weeks. So my whole pregnancy I was pretty restricted. THe mod. bedrest was no standing longer then 1hr without taking a 15 min break no lifting over 10lbs and of course the no sex.

My Mood: Points: 3,056.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,056.07 | HELP. QUESTION:
I am 17 weeks along with twins. I had some severe cramping for 3 days a few weeks ago (constant every 5 minutes lower left side mostly but some on the right). This past Friday had my cervix measured (abdominal u/s) and it measured 3.1 cm. I think it was 4.1 at 13 weeks.
Is cramping a sign of cervical shortening? Could those cramps have been my cervix shortening? My OB seemed to think it was fine and didn't ask me to change my behaviors at all. I am terrified of losing my twins because we worked for over 2 years to get pregnant after much difficulties. I have another appt. in a little over 2 weeks.
Does anyone have any advice? Every time I cramp should I be worried that my cervix is getting even shorter?

My Mood: Points: 166,694.24 Bank: 10,313,670.92 Total Points: 10,480,365.16 | Cramping is normal, which is why it's so darned hard to know when something's really wrong! My thought is that it's more closely tied to preterm labor. With IC, there are usually no cramps/contractions until the cervix is opening.
My guess is that you're fine, but you should be getting as much rest as possible anyway (you're going to be wishing you'd slept more once those babies are here!). And I'd ask your doc to check your cervix weekly (or twice a week, even)...if any changes show up, you can push for a cerclage/bedrest.
((hugs)).

My Mood: Points: 253.84 Bank: 75,896.61 Total Points: 76,150.45 | After some increased abdominal cramping and vaginal pressure I am going in for an U/S tomorrow to measure my cervical length. I am currently 15w 4d now. My doctor said it could be just normal cramping from uterus growth, but he wants to be safe and do this just to make sure. Keep your fingers crossed that everything will be fine. With the M/C earlier this year I am scared to death.
