Sounds like you're doing everything you can. Make sure you're drinking enough water, too. Hubby got me one of those big fun jugs you can get at Flying J and I made sure to drink at least a couple of them full of H2O per day.
I have no proof, but I really think it was the bedrest that helped my cervix not only not lose any more length, but actually gain some. At the end, it was still a 4 or so on most visits. I never had anything close to IC - 2.8 is still not that bad compared to what a lot of cysters have - but it was enough to scare the you know what out of me.
The internet is so good and bad for this stuff. Being informed is so important, but also a lot of us get too MUCH info (like I did) and just end up being completely freaked out.
Take it easy and let us know what happens with your doctor.

Just wanted to add that with manual checks ,they can only check the front of the cervix... my dr kept telling me that I was fine with manual checks but after switching drs I found out that the back of my cervix was only 1.9 when the front was 3.5.

Hi Ladies,
I am only on for a minute longer as I want to get back into bed but I wanted to let you all know my cerclage was better than a success so well that other than 3 small spots i nthe hospital I did not bleed cramp or clot and my length is still great, 4.1. I am going to close now but wanted to let you all know I am doing wonderful and so is the baby! My whole cerclage story is posted on the october mommies thread if anyone wants to read, but I have to say for as scared as I was to have it done it turned out super and I do not need strict bedrest yet, moderate only so for now I will be able to pop on the pc 1's a day or two!

PS the contraction monitor showed NO contractions pre or post surgery and I was given and did take indocin for 48 hours after surgery for just incase but I am done with those now and still doing wonderfully! The babys heartbeat was 162 presurgery and 160 post surgery!!!!

Manders, I recall Dr. Christenson referred highrisk pregnancies to Minneapolis because that was the nearest perinatalogist. I agree with Viv ask your insurance company. Trust your intuition!!

Thank you Tendai, and everyone for your support and everything, but very early Monday morning, starting at about 4am, I gave birth to our twin baby boys. My cervix was already dialated 2-3cm and by the time they went in to do the rescue cerclage, my water broke and I had to give birth to the babies. I guess I began to hemmorage and I lost over a gallon of blood. The Dr said I almost died. They finally got the bleeding stopped right before they were about to take my uterus because I was bleeding so heavily and they couldn't get it stopped. They did everything they could for the babies, but they couldn't be saved and the team had to concentrate on keeping me alive. My babies died so I could have a second chance at life.
We had two boys, Gavin James and Brogan Ryker.

Sweet, I know we really do not know one another and I have tried and succeeding in not posting to you even though I really wanted to because I was afraid my own tragedy would frighten you. My heart is truely breaking for you and I am so very sorry you are going though this. I hoped and prayed for you and your babies daily. I am so greatful though that you are alive today and that your babies were so deeply loved by you and always will be. Your sons will always be with you in heart, mind and soul and returned to your arms in Heaven for eternity. Again I am so sorry this had to happen to you and your baby boys.
