On the IC part - what is the change that we need to be looking for in the cm? Last night I had some thicker cm (but I am on crinone sup and have taken robitussin the past 2 nights) and it was a little yellowish. Today it seems to be fine though. I think I'm probaby too early to worry about ic - although the fact that I'm carrying triplets makes me concerned. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!!

My change in mucus was a thick snotty looking discharge tinged with blood. I have heard others say there was no blood. My advice is always to err on the side of caution and if you think there is any cause for concern to get checked out.

A little off topic, but I was also noticing that many of us had some bleeding in the first trimester. I wonder if that is a warning sign as well. I'm not talking about spotting, but heavier bleeding. I know I had problems with that. |

I was at a friend's house and her autistic daughter used the bathroom before I did so I almost wonder if she had left something on the toilet paper and I didn't notice it before I wiped (I know - pretty gross). Haven't seen any since and have never seen this before. Not having any signs that I have an infection and was checked pretty well right before I got pregnant - cause I had some irritation before, but nothing was found. I guess a call to my Doc couldn't hurt!

• DES exposure
• Cervical trauma such as a D&C (dilation and curettage) from a termination or a miscarriage
• Previous surgery on the cervix, including biopsies
• Damage during a difficult birth
• Hormonal influences
• Congenitally short cervix
• Malformed cervix or uterus from a birth defect
• Uterine anomalies |

I'm sure this is normal, but reading these threads kind of puts up the spooks.
Thanks girls

Feeling like the baby is going to come out, like there's something in your vagina, like you have a tampon in, stuff like that. That's the only feelings I know how to explain. The most important thing is to feel comfortable with going to the doctor anytime you feel like something is not quite right. Always follow your instincts. |

Points: 135.10 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 135.10 | After I became pregnant my fertility Doc told me to insist on being monitored for incompitent cervix because of my bicoruate uterus, and history of missgarage. I tried but was repetedly told that the window of danger had passed. I finanlly got mad one day after (feeling pressure and other symptoms for weeks) and insisted on being checked. I was given a internal ultrasound and sure enough I was dialating. Needless to say..... My OB felt pretty stupid. I ended up having an emergency cerclage that had to be repeted 2 weeks later because of complications. And after 18 weeks of strict bed rest I delivered an 9lb 1 oz healthy baby boy. He was only 2 weeks early and had no problems at all.
So ladies if you are at all worried don't be afraid to be forceful and insist on the things you feel you need. Follow your heart. Good luck! |
