with us having polycystic ovaries are we more at risk of having IC or is it personal for every women and nothing to do with pcos?? x x x x x

saw gyney again on 5th may, stopped clomid, advised to lose weight and put on waiting list for laprascopy to check tubes.
3rd july BFP!!complete suprise!!no medication and on waiting list for tubes checked!!!!!

Daisy, there hasn't been an official connection between PCOS and IC, but a "hormonal imbalances" are a recognized cause of IC. I'd ask for a cervical measurement at 13 weeks, 17 weeks, 20 weeks, and 22 weeks. Hopefully, you have a doc who will humor the crazy pregnant woman!

Just wanted to update anyone that was interested in the P17 injections.. I got my first one today.. it wasn't all that bad.. nice sting and the stuff is really thick.. but not to bad.. It was in my hip.. and she said they have to put them in a zig zag to not worry about pooling? Anyways.. I am exhausted which is a side effect.. hopefully it doesn't last the entire pg.. ughhhh... How are all the other high risk mommies fairing????

Nspear: Will you get the shots every week in the docs office? I am really hoping i can do it at home...or perhaps i can get the nurse this time to give it to me....i am not sure i can make the docs office every week....

Yes I get them each Wednesday at the office.. My cousin is haveing a place through Merida (home nurse service) do her injections.. but she has different insurance.. my Bc/Bs doesn't cover the nurse coming to the house.

Hey everyone. Just a quickie post because Im beat and heading to bed.
I had my 28 week apt. today as well as an u/s of my cervix. Everything is looking good. Im measuring 1.4 cm. which is about what I've been measuring, maybe just a little shorter, but dr. dosn't seem real worried. My cerclage is still doing its job and keeping Liam where he needs to be, so that is the best news right there!!
I passed my GD test and Im not anemic!

I've only gained about 5lbs. so far w/ this baby... but Im officially the weight I was at when I give birth to my DD! LOL So Im pretty happy about that. Of course now is the time that Im going to start really packing on the lbs.! Hopefully nature will be kind to me!
I hope everyone has a great week. Im off to bed. I have allergies from hell right now and my eyes are so itchy and watery I just want to claw them out! Im also convinced that my nose will be the death of me. I just took some benedryl which is wonderfull stuff.... but it makes me soooo sleepy I dont like taking it durring the day

thanks everyone for the info on the shots....i really would dislike having to travel to my doc office every week just for the shot when i can do them myself or have the nurse come to my house and do it...i had a nurse the last time so i might get this one this time....

Storms ~ have you asked your OB about them yet? We had mine set up at my first appt! You have to order the shots.. which can take up to a week.. so make sure you get that done soon! Im sure your OB's office can tell you what there standard practice is on the shots.. sounds like they vary..

we did talk about the shots....he said he would recommend it but the "group" might not...huh? i said whatever i am going to need the shots....your notes clearly say "PTL" so why would you not be as aggresive...then he went into this long story about the cons....i didnt even hear them....i havent heard a negative story yet.....so i want them....at my next appointment i will ask them to order so i can have them ready....he wont start till week sixteen so there is going to be a gap..and he was adment about stopping progesterone at week 12.....

Storms ~ I stopped my prog supps at week 12 as well.. and started the 17P at week 16 that is pretty standard.. I hope everything goes in your favor!

OK ladies i really need your help....this has been an interesting pregnancy from the start...thats all i can say....but i refuse to give up.....
I went in today because my urine kept coming back funky....but i have done the antibiotics...so they were concerned that i had an infection. The doctor did mention that i could be thinning out...so i freaked out...well i get there...no infection....but he said i am 2cm thin....but i am closed....i asked him what it should be and he said with your history we would have preferred 3.5....so i said well then 2 isnt good! he ordered an u/s to look more closely and stated we might have to move up your cerclage....
so here is my concern:
What is a good length?
ISnt ten weeks kinda early to start thinning out?
I have ten days before my TAC....which i think would do me better than anything....has anyone heard of doing both?
