I've had it waxed in the past. It was all part of a brazilian wax package.

But to be honest, I don't care about it. Nobody sees it except my boyfriend occassionally when I'm getting dressed or something.

Good question! I manage most of my symptoms pretty well, but this is the thing I'm most self concious about. I use Veet here too, but you're right, it is pokey like a day or two later. Not sure about waxing, still kinda scares me.

Waxing is great for that area. Even if you didn't want a Brazilian you could still get that waxed. It only takes two strips and it's done. I wouldn't expect to pay more than $30 for a bikini wax with that included.

I just shave it. I do it really quickly, but basically I just stand in the shower and hold my butt crack open and shave away. I have to be careful, though - I cut myself once! OUCH!

There is thread about some stuff called Majic that is a hair remover for Afican Americans. Evidently is works very well on our coarse hair. It seems that the hair doesn't regrow very fast and makes everything smooth as the day you were born.

.LMAO.....I thought I was the only one with this problem.....I feel better knowing that there are others and it just wasn't me and my weird body. Thought I was turning into the cookie monster or some sort of ape woman...my hubby hasn't seen my full body in years because I am so self concious .

I am also thrilled not to be the only one with this problem though I can say I wish NONE of us had to deal with it. Part of how I dealt with it is I found a wondeful man who is so completely covered with hair that he could never say a thing....talk about living in a glass house. And he says he doesn't even notice the hair anymore. I don't know if that's the truth, but I'd like to believe it.

I still might use that Majic stuff, though! LOL

My hubby says the same thing, he dosn't notice it much anymore. Its still embarrassing. I have tried shaving it, waxing (hurt too much) and using the creams, I finally just gave up but this majic stuff sounds like it might be a winner.

Okay ladies, I just have to tell you to read that Magic Shave thread from beginning to end. I did, took me forever, but I laughed so hard that I almost pee'd a little! But I have to say, after buying a can and staring at it for weeks, I finally did it! Has been almost two weeks, and there is still very little regrowth, and since the hair is basically dissolved and not blunted by shaving, it does not itch at all while growing back. I took the plunge and did EVERTHING, front to back, and I am as smooth as the day I was born! I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH LADIES! I was nervous because I am pretty heavy, with the dreaded 'fat roll' in the front, and I had zero issues with taking it all off. Was quick and painless. Make sure you get the silver can, it is extra mild and skin conditioning. Try it please, you will not regret it!

P.S. How freaking cool is it that there is a group of women so open and accepting that we can talk about crack hair??? Rock on!

LMAO....I agree, its nice to have someone that knows what our going through....I was so excited about this thread that I told hubby that I'm not the only one....he giggled and said thats great....then he said you women talk about stuff like that. LMAO....he is so lost when it comes to women, hes a riot! Anyway I am going t give it a try....I hate the itching after it starts to grow back so if there is no itching I am so there. Gonna go read the thread to see where to buy it.

I usually shave my butt hairs in the shower...it is a very delicate process! Although afterwards can be itchy.

I tried Magic Cream and it was not a positive experience. It burned my butt pretty bad...it was red like a freshly cooked lobster!
