Trust me you are not alone! I gain at least 5-10 pounds of water weight before each period. When I am on fertility drugs I gain a lil more but the day I get my period it all goes away within like 4-5 days! They only thing I do is try not to eat carbs or sugar or high sodium foods during that time. Drinking lots of water helps too but only if you eat healthy if you eat unhealthy and drink tons of water it makes it alot worse. There are natural diuretics like asparagus and lemons and some more but i cant remember at the top of my head. Don quai or Ginseng herbs are also diuretics they make me have to go to the bathroom like crazy. But I am about 5 ft 5 normally 125 lbs but during my water retention I have gotten up to 136 in like a week or 2. Everything else stays thin but my face and stomach get really bloated. I also look pregnant when this happens. Well hope that helped.
