Question Waxing your chest anyone?

I am going to try it and was wondering if anyone else had done it and had success. The hair is so dark and coarse there it's awful. It seems to really be coming in thick! It use to be here and there. It seems as I get older (I'll be 29 next week) it gets worse. It will be 10 years that I have had all of this hair growing!!

Anyway..my best friend is a cosmetologist and she is wonderful. She has always done my eye brows for me. She has told me to let thehair on my upper lip and chin and neck grow and she could wax those areas. I just can't let them go I have to tweeze EVERYDAY or I can't go out of the house! My chest I can let grow for awhile, it's hard though when my husband tries to get close that's tough.

I feel so fortunate to have a best friend that does not judge me for all of this awful hair she sees, and she is sweet enough to take time on her day off to give me a "beauty day" as I call it. She said she wants me to feel good this summer and be able to wear my tank tops or low cut tops.

Thanks for listening!

Sheila

Default I've tried waxing the chest hair

I have tried waxing the chest hair and it didn't work for me. I have some hair on my face (I have someone wax my lip and eyebrows and I pluck any black hairs that I can see). I have tried electrolysis, NADS, epil-stop. shaving, waxing, and all of the other removal methods for my chest hair and it does not go away. Shaving leaves a thick black stubble, so I'm just learning to live with it. Its the once place that I hate having the hair growth. I can't wear v-necks. My shirt has to always has to cover my chest.
Arrgh!!

I use Nair, the bikini stuff. It is for more sensitive skin and doesn't give me red skin like the regular Nair. I also use it on my upper lip, and it works great for that too, but it has to be the bikini Nair. My husband used it on his pubic area, to see if it worked, and sure enough it did. I promise he's not a freak, just likes it bald down there....lol

Waxing of the chest didn't work well for me either. I ended up with little bumps almost like razor bumps. The skin was very irritated. I hope that it works well for you. Good luck.

P.S. We're neighbors. Do you live on the East or West side?
