I cook asparagus the same way every time and though it's very yummy I'd like to switch it up a bit. I usually cook mine on a baking sheet drizzled with olive oil, pepper, and parmesan cheese and bake at 350 (have no idea how long, I just eyeball it). Would love to hear how you cook your asparagus??

Yes, I just use a little olive oil, pepper and some garlic powder. Sometimes I like to grill it in tin foil with squash, tomatoes and green peppers too.

we do the same as you but use olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Gives it a slightly different flavor, a little zing.

Get involved in animal rescue. You won't be sorry. Your heart may break, there may be times when your eyes are red-rimmed for days. You may lose faith in the goodness of people, but your spirit will be renewed by the resilience of those you save. It isn't easy, but it's worth it. I promise you, you will be forever changed.

me too!
- steam until they are JUST bright green, season with whatever you like
- raw w/ or w/o hummus or a homemade bean dip
- microwave several for a minute or two (you can add strips of green pepper, zucchini, and carrot), then pour a low-cal meat spaghetti sauce over the top. One of my favorites for a quick and hearty lunch!

Chuck it in a fry pan on really hot with the juice of 1 lemon. I also like to chuck some capers in there too.
For something a little naughtier lemon and butter is a great combo.
I like to keep in crispy-ish. Great with fish.
I steam mine in the microwave using those zip-loc steam bags. I use spray butter on them once their cooked. Simple, easy, quick and I like it because it is super low in calories.

Ok... question for the asparagus grillers. I did it tonight for the first time, but had a couple flare ups, resulting in some black spots. On what heat do you grill your asparagus? I did asparagus, 1 zuccini sliced lengthwise, sea salt, pepper, garlic powder, and EVOO. Threw it all in a ziplock to coat, then put it on the grill. It actually turned out pretty good, despite the black spots. =)

we usually just steam our asparagus, drizzle ranch dressing on it(after making al ittle sauce with it) and sprinkle some chopped fried bacon on top. It is sooooo yummy!
