I'm so excited, we got our I171H!! We were having problems with our INS office and ended up having to contact our local congressman's office (and boy, when a congressman's office puts in a request, you get a 24 hour turnaround!).
Tomorrow we send our entire completed dossier to our agency, and then we 'wait' for our referral for our next child! Our agency said it could be between 4-6 months from the time our dossier reaches the republic of georgia, but we aren't in that much of a hurry since we have Ethan home.
It's exciting though -- we will have our newest child home, and finally be a completed family in just a few months!!!!

Congrats on receiving your I-171H approval! Our's went really quick here in Tucson, AZ (1 month following our homestudy approval). I remember when we were living in California (Bay Area), the San Francisco INS office really drug their feet (for 3 years) with my husband's citizenship paperwork. His parent's were naturalized when he was 15 and his naturalization should have been really straight forward. We had to get our Congressman involved and soon after had his citizenship docs in hand!

What fantastic news! Perhaps you will be travelling before February! I have heard that the upside to travelling to Russia and the Ukraine in the dead of winter is that the flights are waaaay cheaper. DH and I are hoping to travel during the winter, but know that it will probably be spring...
Oh, and see that you posted over on Adoption Forums in the "Where you are Located" thread. Have you been posting there long? I just joined this week and I have gained lots of fantastic info... see you over there!!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Actually, we adopted our son during December of 2001, and of course it was the coldest month in Eastern Europe in decades LOL.
Yes, I am over at adoption forums too -- I've been there for awhile and love being able to share info with others going through the process (which is why I am here too ).
I thought I saw you over there!!!
