After the miserable happenings of last week we finally have our travel dates and consulate appointment! YAY!
We leave on Thursday, January 29th and return on Weds. February 11th.
Usually the children are brought to the families on the 3rd or 4th day of the trip which would be Feb 1 or 2!!! We will probably learn more about that at our travel meeting next week.
So I can breathe a sigh of relief. I finally have a day to focus on and my emotions can get in check for a bit. It's a date further off than I would prefer, but I am so thankful to actually have the date we are leaving.
Thanks for all of your support. I truly appreciate all the kind words and thoughts you've given me. And thanks for putting up with my ups & downs and all my posts. I love this forum!
Lisa

Yea! Hold on Emily, your mommy and daddy are coming!
I'm curious Lisa, are you guys planning to take Jessica with you? It's a long time before I have to worry about it, but I'm already thinking ahead to adoption #2 and wonderring what people think about taking older siblings along on the trip

Thanks everyone! Deeds--you are good! You got my Emily's birthday right!
Yes, Brandy, Jessica is coming with us. Our travel mates that we have already met are thrilled because she is like a little momma hen. She'll help out a lot keeping the babies entertained, I am sure!
The first time I mentioned this to her (about helping keep the girls busy) she said "Mom don't those people know I'm going there to pick up my sister?!!" It was hysterical, but now she is excited about playing with all the babies. There is a 10 year old boy, 15 year old boy, and 5 year old girl also coming. I'm sure there could be more, but that's all I know of for sure. She's excited she'll have other kids to be with while we go throught official (boring!!) paperwork!
I think if a child is well behaved, travels well, etc...than people don't worry about older siblings coming. When we started thinking about it we got comments both pro & con, but with the kind of child Jess is I am sure it'll all be fine!
31 days & counting!!!

How soon are you getting family pics done? Gosh, this is so exciting to hear about. And on top of all of it, you get to go to another country!! A trip and a daughter all in one. Don't get much better then that! LOL
I am so glad to hear that you have travel dates. I have been following your story and you are bringing back happy memories of when we brought our children home. One in Feb and one in March. Best of luck on this journey of a lifetime. Enjoy it.
Can't wait to hear all about your family when you get back.
