So I guess it's really final now....ds's birth certificate arrived in the mail on Saturday. It was very surreal to see our names on this piece of paper, along with ds's name....I guess he's a keeper
Now, to make an appt with the social security office to get him a SSN.....oh, what fun that appt will be.

Congratulations! I know the feeling isn't it great? When I went to SS office even though I had the Bc they wouldn't give me a new SS # unless I had the court documents proving the adoption also. Isn't that silly? Just a heads up for you in case your office does the same.

BTW - when I went to SS this is what I brought with me. The birth certificate, the adoption papers and the paper with the ATIN number on it. And my ID.
I was not sure what to bring I brougt it all and they looked at all of it.
We got our card already, it was really quick.

Isn't that the greatest feeling in the whole wide world. I was so excited when we got Andrew's birth certificate that had OUR names on it!!! I loved it!!!! Congrats spooky...that's a handsome boy you have there!!!!
