I have a lot to do! I didn't think it was going to be this fast so I've been putting a lot off....

DH was the one to talk to her when she called (he answered the phone). She said she could do it in 3 hours, rather than 4 hours.

It'll be @ 6PM on Tuesday!

Good Luck Traci! You will do fine, but I know you are nervous. Our homestudy only took an hour but I guess it all differs.

I will be thinking about you and DH. Aimee too cause I know she will be in your arms before you know it.

I'm so excited but I'm also so nervous and frazzled b/c there's so much to do and we've gotten so far already that I would hate for anything to go wrong

We've had a huge mess for the last few months w/ an old traffic violation of DH's that we're trying to get figured out and all the paperwork on which has made this process so much longer! It makes completely no sense that we had to do all this extra running around for paperwork at courts, police station, etc when his FBI check came back completely clear. Our HS SW coordinator claims the USCIS runs a more extensive check so they want to be prepared w/ the info just in case it comes up...I didn't think there was anything more extensive than an FBI check, guess we'll just have to wait & see though. I'm going to be really mad that it took this long to do all these extra things if nothing comes up though! And not only that but the HS agency wanted us to get court papers when it never went to court and then they wanted records from the police dept that it happened in. That police dept is a 4 hr drive each way from us and there's no way we're going to make an 8 hr drive for a piece of paper! Makes no sense that they just can't do a complete check and get the documents themselves from records!

So it's looking like we'll be cutting it close for DTC in November which we need to be or we're going to have to redo 1/2 of our paperwork which I totally don't want to do!

Off to do a bunch of stuff to get ready! Thanks again, I'll be sure to update after it on Tuesday night!

3 hours, thats great ! Ours was a series of meetings over a few weeks but still rather painless
