Congrats on everyone who helped make this thread a success in 2007 with a combined weightloss of 78lbs

However, in 2008 we are gonna do EVEN BETTER!! What do you reckon guys?

We shall start afresh, so anyone that wants to join our thread, please reply with your goals etc.,


I put a couple of lbs back on and am now upto 150lbs from 147lbs (booo) IT HAS GOTTA GO and it WILL GO!!

My personal goal is to weigh 10 stone by April. So that means I have 10lbs to lose in about 4 months which should be about 2 - 3lbs a month. That seems realistic.

I will be low carbing although not drastically, I wil be walking, walking, walking and also visiting the gym hopefully 2 - 3 times a week.


Our last thread is located here Exercising To Our Goals *Oct / Nov*


Jess ~ needs to lose 1st 8lbs (Jess, is this still your goal or do I need to change it?)

Nyksta ~ long term goal is to get to under 75kg with low carbing & exercise.

Sarah Louise ~ wants to lose at least 3 stone within the first 6 months of 2008 ~ low carbing and exercise.

Marazin ~ getting back on track this year and aiming for big losses

Shellie ~ wants to get to 10st/140lbs by April.

Maddy ~ embarking on a good fitness plan to get rid of the PCOS belly

Shellie please add me !!

I was such a lazy old sod in 2007 just couldnt find the motivation to get my bum in gear but I am determined not to fall in the same trap this year !! So I want to lost at least 3 stone within the first 6 months of 2008.

My plan of action is to follow a low carb diet (waiting for my diet books to arrive any day now), followed by plenty of swimming and yoga. Then build up slowly to maybe joining a gym !!

Wow 78lbs i could do with losing that off my own body lol

sarah this is a great thread!

i walked the dog for about a hour today done a fast pace walk to , even broke into a sweat lol

also have eaten very sensibly for example all ive eaten is 2 alpen musli bars 70 calories each , and a acitvia good bacterial drink 27 calories and a bowl or tuna and cucumber im about to have a tuna jacket before dinner then u will maby do a excersise video

Hi SHellie,

Thanks for starting a new thread!

The ol' diet has completely gone out the window over the festive seasons and I *know* I have put weight on.....however I haven't gotten my arse onto the scales yet - I will first thing in the morning (well actually might be midday since its new years tonight lmfao) and will post my current weight and I'm new goal....

My long term goal is still to get to under 75kg (about 11 and half stone) by March......... but considering I'm probably well over 14 stone again I don't think that is too realistic.

I need to get back to my low carbing at my very strictest and get the exercise going again...

WE CAN DO IT GIRLS!!


I'll be back in the next few days with an update to how I start lol

Count me in!! Now that Christmas is out the way I can put 110% into getting back on track! I am aiming for big losses this year after getting some much needed inspiration for others people I have met online! I am taking part in an online project a friend started called the Healthy You Challenge – just a bunch of us who want to shed the pounds and who are going to motivate each other along the way whilst blogging about it!

Ok so yesturday (The 31s) i did end up eatin chococlates and jaffa cakes not good.
But today has been good so far..
I am gonna go skatin today so hopfully that will help burn some calories off , yay maz for havin u on board!

ok ladies,

So I weighed myself yesterday afternoon and I weighed in at 14 stone 10lbs.... that's about 1 stone put on in the last month {{[{big blushes}}} I knew I'd gone wayyyy bad!

So today I've cut the carbs again and remembered to take 1 tablet of met so far (I've been terrible at taking it - missed days at a time too so slowely uppin the dosage again!) Tomorrow I'm going to make myself get on the exercise bike to kick of the exercising again!

My mini goal is to get to 14 stone before the end of the month.....its a pretty big ask but I'm hoping my body is going to respond well to the low carb eating as it did at the beginning last time.

My weekly weigh in is on a Wednesday so I'll keep you all updated!

How is everyone else doing?

Well done well today, took Alfie out for three good walks.... and I've cleaned the house so I think that's some calories burned!

I thought about Weightwatchers since there is a meeting held at the bottom of the road by my house but I don't think it's worth paying £5.50 a week to just get weighed and be told what I already know!

Well today is the day that I start my life change !!! woke up early so I could squeeze in 10 minutes of yoga before work but my back is killing me !!!! I can hardly stand straight !! stupid Sims games !! if I was not obsessed with playing that game then I wouldn't be hunched over all the time causing my bad back !!! so could hardly do any yoga moves !!! but never mind because I am going swimming tonight without fail !!

I even weighed myself today having been avoiding that like the plague for the last few months and I should be ashamed of myself as I now topped the scales at 16st 7lbs the heaviest I have ever been in my life, anyway its onwards and downwards for my weight after today !! So take that fat belly, six chins and other wobbly bits !!

Sarah when i realised i was tipping on the 16 stone mark a thing inside me was like 'wow you've never been this heavy before' and then i lose that ten lbs then gained 7 of it back now im 15.11
When i went shoppin in london , thats when it clicked inside me i do want to loose weight and wear nice clothes , i want to participate in P.e and be good at it not just on the side lines
Thats whats keepin my motivaation -today is diet day 3 for me , im just taking it one step at a time!
