My husband and I are adopting through the state program. Our caseworker called me this morning with a potential match. There is a 2 month old infant that has came into care that there are no any matches for in their private ABC adoptions. We were asked if we would be interested in adopting this little boy. He is currently being tested for STD's as there may have been exposure to HIV and Hepatitis C. They say he is very healthy and show no signs of anything. They said BM was on some sort of medication to help prevent him from contracting any STD while she was pregnant. We are 1 of 3 families that they are looking into for his adoptive home. I know we are about to go through a waiting game and that we are scared to death right now. I know that God has a plan and a family for this little boy. If anyone has and advice or stories please share.  If this does not work out we will continue with out State adoption plan.

We totally believe that God brought our two little ones into our home through Foster/Adopt. His timing is perfect. We have now adopted one and waiting to finish up on the other.

Thanks everyone we are just praying for God's will. If he is to join our family then GREAT if not we will just continue to wait for our child/children.

I talked with my caseworker yesterday and she did not have a whole lot of new information for me. She did tell me they took him off the medication for possible HIV since it was upsetting his stomach. From my understanding they are suppose to make a decision this coming week as to his future family.
My husband also found out there there is a 2 y/o AA boy that is in the the Foster care system right now that they are suppose to be terminating parental rights this week that we maybe interested in if it falls through on the little baby. He found out about this one from a lady that he knows that comes to his work all the time that is a foster parent and she has him right now.
Everything is in God's hands and he knows the child/children for our home. We did finish our book and they homestudy is going up for approval Tuesday I believe, and they are pushing it through to the top to get it done ASAP. Thanks everyone for you concerns I will be keeping everyone updated as to what is going on.
