We received news this morning that out of over 20 families we were in the top 3 but another family was picked.
The caseworker has offered to keep our info active and if another possible match comes her way she will let us know.
We, of course, are disappointed and very numb. We have spent 4 months with all of our attention on these kids.
I am not sure what we are going to do. My DH is so upset he refuses to talk about it except to say he wants to wait two weeks before we talk about it.
It's hard for me because there are fifteen pg women at my work and over the next 4 or 5 months all of them will be giving birth.
We did talk about going back to fostering just for a chance, but that was so painful too.
Maybe it is just not meant to be. Sorry girls, I am just not in a good mood. Thanks for your support. I will be back when things are looking a little sunnier.

i am so sorry. it seems such a cruel process. i know you will both find the stregnth to get through this. to me the whole adoption wait seems like a extra long labor, but so worth it in the end.
