 Weight Gain and BCP
I am soo frustrated-- no matter what type of birth control I try (ortho-cyclen, ortho-tri-cyclen, ortho-tri-cyclen lo, nuvaring) I always gain the same 20-25 pounds back. So I have been yo-yoing by going on and off birth control for years. As soon as I go off the pill, I immediately lose those 20-25 pounds within three months and then put them back on within 6-9 months of being on the pill. Does anyone know WHY this happens? Is it just my bodies way of say... YUCK hormones don't work for me, or is this part of the whole PCOS deal? Anyone have more success with say Loestrin FE and not having weight gain? Anyone else in this same boat? I know I shouldn't complain since I am a thin cyster but to gain 1/4 of my body weight (i'm normally between 100-105 and now I am at 125) from a pill is serious to me!
