Unhappy Weight Gain w/ met?

I have ben on Met for 3 days now, and I am showing a 5 lb weight gain! I understand this is water gain, but I am wondering if anyone else had this when first starting met. I have also had major PMS symptoms. Let me know if any of you did too, and how long it lasted. Thanks ever so much!!!!

I am not in control of what I did yesterday.
Nor am I in control of what I do tommorow.
All I am in control of is right now,
And hey-
I am not stuffing my face right now, so I am doing a pretty darn good job.

well...i gained 2 lbs but then lost them back but didn't lose anything after that....i've been plateauing for quite sometime now.....some people lose weight on met instantly and some don't...i'm the one that doesn't...
my friend lost 6lbs in a month while doing nothing but having met....lucky her...and not so lucky me...
hang on for a while longer...it'll do better things than just losing weight....you'll have amazing energy levels soon......i felt alive after a long time and wasn't always tired and rundown like i was before....

good luck!!!

I lost about 10 lbs at first when I started taking Met. I think that was due to all the side affects and not wanting to eat something that would upset my stomach. (My Dr. didn't have me gradually get used to Met and I started out with 2000mg a day right from the get go). Anyways, I lost some but have gained that back and another 10 lbs. I wasn't happy about that, unfortuneately I'm not one that loses weight just by taking Met. I did find that I felt better. I have been on it for 13 months now and I don't want to "fall asleep" all the time now, hair growth has subsided tremendously (though I wish it would go away altogether), and as long as I can keep the side affects away, I am great!

Just hang in there, I hope things work out for you. From what you said, it sounds like water weight gain.

Thanks,
Lana
