My Mood: Points: 75,580.38 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 75,580.38 | Weight Loss Good Morning everyone!!!! I have a question for all of you. Sine I have become preggers I have lost about 13 pounds. I know that weight loss is common in the first trimester but I am not having any morning sickness and I am eating all the time. I was wondering if any of you have this problem. I was thinking that maybe my body has adjusted itself with the pregnancy and has in some way fixed my PCOS. I told my RE at my last appt 3 wks ago about my weight loss but she said as long as I am eating I am fine, but the weight is still coming off about 2 pounds a week. I am hoping maybe you ladies have some insight for me.
Thanks
Tiffany

I only gained 20 pounds and two weeks after giving birth have lost that weight plus 10 lbs. I haven't been so thin in 10 years! And I have been eating carbs I never allowed myself before getting pregnant...
Best of luck to you!!!
Sarah

I gained ten and lost five and then lost three more, etc. I am now a little over 35 weeks pg and have only gained 11 pounds. As long as you're taking your prenatals and eating like you should, everything should be fine. The baby will take what he/she needs from your body - don't worry! |

But I ate all the time to keep the m/s at bay. Around 20-25 weeks I did put on some poundage quite rapidly, but I'm still only up 10-15 pounds or so from prepreg weight. It seems like the body "grabs" calories differently at different times in pregnancy, IME. |

I'm slowly putting on a little weight. I'm up about 3-4 pounds, but I'm still down 10 pounds from pre-preg weight.
My baby is larger than her dates, my bloodwork shows I'm healthy and my sugars are under control. My docs are quite happy.
I have always lost weight during preg even when I eat like crazy, so I think it does have something to do with the PCOS.

Points: 31,664.35 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 31,664.35 | I lost in the first trimester. I did have m/s, but didn't puke enough to explain all the loss. Plus I was on modified bedrest for about 5 weeks, so I wasn't burning many calories compared to normal. I think my metabolism just picked up from it's normal sluggish state. I've been slowly gaining since then, but my overall gain is still fairly low right now, about 14 lbs I think. I have eaten like crazy and eaten pretty much whatever my body wants. In my case, that included a McD's craving. Mmmm Big Mac and Fries! There is no way I could've eaten all that I've eaten this pregnancy in any other 6 month period without gaining at least 40 lbs.

I have not gained anything in the last 4 - 6 weeks and if my scale this morning was accurate, I will not have gained anything in the past week when I go to my appt. today. I doubt I will gain anything anymore considering I am already at 33+ weeks and will deliver in another 5 weeks or so based on my drs. orders.
I think it's normal!

My Mood: Points: 63,816.03 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 63,816.03 | Just wondering, I weighted this am. From the date of my IUI til the time of my 1st ultra sound, I had gained 5 pounds. Since then, week and a half, I've lost that 5 pounds + 10 more. I am eating. I've had lots of nausea and only vomited 3 times. But it still doesn't change my body size. All my clothes are still too tight and I am already wearing my maturnity clothes.
