congratulations maggsta! i'm happy the BCPs are working for you instead of against you. All they did to me was turn me into a raging lunatic! After I had tried 4 different kinds of them and got really bad side effects, I couldn't handle them and neither could my parents, so I stopped taking them altogether...but I'm losing weight too...I'm down about 14 pounds from where I was at my last dr. appt. and am working towards my goal.
started at 163, am now at 149 and am hoping to get to 110 by March 22, 2009 (my 20th birthday)!
I'm 16 and I just found out I have PCOS, I've only been on the board for awhile but just recently started to seriously come here. I would really like to be a part of this if I can.
I would like to join, but I am afraid to because I have been trying SUPER HARD for the last 4 months to lose weight, but I haven't lost any weight! I'm 17 years old, 5' 3.5" tall and 140 pounds! 8 months ago I was a content 112 pound teenager and I wore size 0 jeans, now I don't even know what size I am because I'm too depressed to wear anything but sweats. I was tested for insulin resistence and I was hoping that was the problem so I could go on metaformin, but my insulin levels came back normal and now I don't know what to do! I'm beginning to lose hope that I'm going to be stuck like this forever! I eat only 1200 calories a day and I eat a TON of protien (which I HATE because I think meat is disgusting) and I just want to lose some weight! Does anyone have any suggestions for me? :'(
im 17 5'5" 152 pounds i think im not sure exacrtly.
i used to weigh 163 but in the past few months ive been eating a low GI diet which is great for PCOS and i recommend for everyone becuase it REALLY WORKS
Does anyone on this thread take metaformin? I just started taking it two days ago and I was wondering how long it should be before I start to see some weight loss. I'm on a low carb/low glycemic/high protien diet and have been for a couple of months and I exercise every day, yet I have not lost a single pound in 9 months! Should I start seeing results soon?
