I don't usually post on this site as it's all so bloody over whelming...but I think I could really benifit from it.
I am soooo ready to lose this excess weight and find that other people around me don't really know how hard it is. What with all the low GI and all that, they really have no idea :o !
I'm sure some of you are in the same boat and was wondering if anyone else wants to join me in my fight for thin-ness?!? I'm not crash dieting any more, Im sick of it and it doesn't work. So i've decided to to it the right way through eating right and excersiing, beginning Monday (can't start today as tomorrow mum's putting on a pork roast and I just don't have the balls to say no to that ! I've been to the dietition and I know what to do eating wise, but I'm only just now starting to really get motivated to do the right thing by my body.
I'm hoping to lose at least 25kgs by the end of this year. Has anyone tried WW with the diabities diet? I'm not diabetic yet but it could all lead that way. We do have a local meeting and was considering going.
Let me know as I think we could all benifit with the suport.

YES I am in the same boat as you. I have tried WW before and did really well. Lost 14kg before falling pg with my son (I don't know anything about the diabetic program though). I have just started cointing points again (but am not going to the meetings). I would be happy to support you. We could whinge to each other and try and motivate each other. Feel free to pm me.

I have done ww and it works! I havnt done the Diabetic one either so cant offer any info on that plan.

Im no longer a WW member but I have all the books and are starting to do the points thing again anyway. I also dont have the confidence of those weigh ins that they do, so I shall do it at home
Another cool site for Support with weight loss is Kickbutt, it is run by a member here who has PCOS Loofah from New Zealand, and its a really great supportive group all with the aim of eating healthy and getting exercise and helping each other.
I did it! I've joined WW as of today and I actually really enjoyed myself. Although I was a bit dissapointed as my scales seem to be a bit out of whack so I weigh more than predicted. I've followed the points plan before for about 2 weeks and kept cheating. What was the point?? I think joining the group and actually going to the meetings will motivate me more. I already feel better for it and am looking forward to seeing the kilo's drop off. As I said before I am sooo ready!!
I suppose I'll have to start walking but it's just soo stinkin' hot where I am. I suppose I could get up early but I'm really not a morning person. Will have to start late afternoon I guess.
Does anyone else walk much??

Im actually having a few probs with the computer so it looks to everyone that I started this group then took off!
So I joined WW nearly three weeks ago and have the fourth weigh-in tomorrow. Last Wednesday I'd lost 1.7 kg's in two weeks! I was so proud of myself. I had a big weekend with an old friend who is a big piss head so I joined her on the Friday night. I had any spirits with diet coke and it wasn't all that bad. I'm not a big drinker anyway so didn't have to worry too much.
Then the next day everyone ordered pizza and I couldn't resist...hangover food HAS to be grease ball!! So I thought I'd definantly put on that week but to my delight I'd lost 700g. Hoping for a better result this week.
I cant actually wait to start excersising..it's so stinkin' hot where I am so walking's out for a while, and the pool is always packed with pre-teens so feel a bit uncomfortable there. Can't wait until school's are all back (although I think they are now??) then me and Fin can get swimming!

Good on you Beck! That's great! I have joined WW too. I have lost about 3 kg in total. I had a bad weekend though and need to get more serious about it again! Keep up the good work !

Weighed in last Wednesday and only lost 200g . It was AF week so I wasn't expecting much. Plus I stuffed 2 cadbury cream eggs down my throught, in succession, as I just couldn't handle the craving!! Not during Af, which by the way has finally come exactly 30 days after the last! It isn't the most pleasent thing in the world but it made me so happy. This hasn't happened in a very long time. Hopefully we wont be TTC too long now!! Hoping for a BFP soon.
