Hi ladies,

It's been a really really long time since I started a post in here, and SoulCysters for that matter!

I am still here though!

Some of you may remember that we had been trying to have our first baby for quite sometime. It's now going on 4+ years. With no success!

We had an appointment at the Hospital, for both of us our first official Fertilty consultation about 2 months ago. We already knew I didnt ovulate, they confirmed that with a bunch of tests I had been having prior to the appointment. We also found out that my partner has a very low sperm count. Becuase of my weight, they will not do IVF. My weight (and I know alot of you know exactly what I mean) has been a constant battle for the last 7 years. Always creeping up, no matter how hard I try.

Over this time, I had done alot of research into weightloss surgery, thinking like it was what I needed, but always been put off with the cost (it's only partly funded by 1 insurance company here in New Zealand and then they only pay the first $3-4 thousand) and I dont have health Insurance anway.
After alot of discussions with my partner and my parents (who support me 200%) I'm going to have it done.

My surgery date isnt confirmed, but it will more then likey be around mid March. I have my first three appointments booked with the surgeon, they are on the 3 Feb, 9th Feb & the 15th Feb.

So anyway...... that's about all from me.

Dx April 2005 but had so many symptoms since puberty, just couldnt find a dr willing to dig a little deeper as my AF has always been regular.
