 Weight and thyroid
I moved to the US from Canada last summer and have a new doc. She measured my thyroid before renewing my Canadian prescription and thought I was being over-replaced (taking too much levothyroxine). She tested me again 6 weeks later...same thing. So she has reduced my dose slightly (1.5 to 1.25mg).
I have dropped some weight since I was last tested (in Canada). I (stupidly) neglected to get the actual test numbers from her, but I'm wondering whether any of you have had something like this happen with weight loss.
I've been on this dose for almost a month and feel the same, although I am not waking up in the night as much. In retrospect, that is one of the symptoms of being hyperthyroid, so maybe this was for the best. I'm just nervous with anyone tinkering around with this med!
