Default Weird Boob Hair?

So the other day I looked down while I was standing on a dark rug and noticed a little hair on my boob about 3 inches away from my nipple. So I went to look at it, and noticed I have lots of them! Now this hair isn't like a normal one on my body, it is super super thin and short. So I thought I'd try plucking one out...the weirdest thing happened...lots of hairs came out with it. This sounds weird, but when I plucked it, there were like 5 little hairs in the follicle, so I plucked them all out. They were even smaller than the original one, they looked more like little fibers or those little hairs in some squashes (if that makes any sense?). Even weirder is the fact that I didn't even feel it. It came out so easily, I didn't feel anything. So I plucked another one, and this one looked like it had a little white puss ball on the end of the follicle, and once again had 3 hairs in it. I didn't feel anything when I plucked out any of the hairs around my nipple, but when I got closer to the edges of my boob, they started hurting! This is really hard to explain correctly (I can only imagine the thoughts going through your mind right now!), so I'm hoping that someone knows what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if this is normal and I was just left out of the loop about this strange boob hair my entire life? So I'm hoping that this is normal and I missed that day in health class!

Hello,

The description was strange, but I think this may be the beginning stages of developing evil PCOS chest hair as the hair is still soft and fine enough where you hardly feel them being plucked...I started out with about 5 little hairs and then they became vicious and thick, with more than one hair per follicle.

I reccommend that you dont shave it...try to wax them instead.

My nipple follicles almost all have two hairs in them. I always wondered if other women's did too or if I'm just weird.

As tempting as it is, I have stopped plucking them! Thanks for the input, I'm glad to hear that it's probably just a normal thing for my body with PCOS. Next time I'm at the Dr. I'll bring it up...I just hope I caught it in time before I plucked too many! It's odd that I would start getting hairs there, I didn't really get any extra body hair, I just lost a bunch of it from my head! Oh well, I should be grateful! Thanks again!

Red face boob hair?

For me is that i tried to bleach them...
Trust me, life will be alot easlier by just bleaching them since they are fine... (just that the colous is never going to be permanent. IN fact i re-bleach every month)

The most most be waxing... i bet i will cry and regret to hell if i ever start shaving...( dun wanna my hair be so pricky)

btw tell you people what... i always thought only i am hairy, at least in my school. of cos u will never know who shave who wax and who don't.
But when last week i went 2 Wastons to buy Sally Hasen bleaching kit, to my surprise they are also out of stock... So i can safely guess: there are also alot other girls who have hair problems. But maybe because of my culture, ppl seldom say about this knida of things.

You make a good point. Actually, there's far less difference than most people realise between hair growth in women and hair growth in men. Chest hair and moustache and beard growth in women is not nearly as rare as most people imagine. You probably know quite a number of women who shave every day, but because they keep it a secret you're not aware of the fact.

All good points...

I also have encountered women who tend to obsess over peach fuzz or one or two stray hairs on a "normal body part" such as legs or upper lip; so they may also contribute to the population who are causing hair removal products to fly off the shelves. I've also overheard conversations about body hair when women laugh and joke about having hair in nether regions often associated with PCOS...although hair growth isnt as rare as some people think, there are women who harshly criticize other women for having body hair, and this also contributes to women hating their bodies. (the hairy parts, at least...)

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!! I wondered what the heck those were too. Mine look like they're dark (like a black head), but they are so tiny... and when u pull them out, there ARE like 3 hairs and 2 fiber thingies in there. I noticed these on my breasts, stomach (where there was no hair before) and sides. I noticed that it's happening in the very fatty parts of my body. I first noticed them like 2 months ago... since it's been so long and i've been paying attention, I think they are new developing hairs... now in place of them (i believe) are long peach fuzz with 2-3 hairs from each follicle. No doubt mine will turn coarse one day I'm glad you brought it up, i thought i was the only one!

I have this too, and have for years, if it isn't dark but short, fine and light, then it is just the normal fuzz that covers our entire body. Mine have never turned into full blown coarse chest hair, so i wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have a couple on my Left boob...none on my right. I complained once to DH and he told me that a big thing...well not big but often Guys talk about girls (not that you didn't already know that) and the two boob things they talk about is shape (like floppy boobs and stuff) and boob hair.

Not that DH contributes

Anyway apparently most girls have the problem of hair surrounding the nipple. Made me feel better

I have hairs as thick as pubic hair around my areola on both my breasts. I just shave every other day. No one has to know. It's just a symptom of my pcos. My doc tells me I need to loose lots of weight to jumpstart Ovulation and lessen the effects of PCOS. but that's easier said than done.

I'm glad you understood my explanation of it...I re-read it and my original post sounded so weird! I'm wondering how long I've actually had these little hairs. I only noticed them because I happened to be standing over a dark rug and saw one of the little hairs. But when you just look at my boobs, you can't see them, you have to see them in front of something dark. When you tried plucking them out, did you feel anything? The only thing I felt was myself accidenly pinching my skin with the tweezers. It's been a month since I plucked some out (I have stopped), but they didn't grow back dark or anything, so hopefully I have had and will always have these little hairs and they won't get worse...(keeping my fingers crossed).

I have had this type of hair for several years. It is fine light colored with that fiber or whatever it may really be on the end of the follicle. They have not turned dark and the ones that I do pluck seem to get infected in the cuticle. So I just let them be. Ah the joys of PCOS and hair.

I have to sound like a valley girl here and say OhMyGod! I thought I was the only one. I call them "feathers" they look like something you would find in a feather pillow. they are so small only I would notice them. My husband will see me plucking and say "what are you doing plucking your feathers again" lol. they don't hurt unless I get further over on my boob. Its almost like they come out so easy they aren't attached to anything if that makes sense! Thankfully even though I have dark hair they are blonde, not like my husband would care anyway but I probably would. Can't say the same for my couple mushtache hairs though..wish those were blonde!
