Don't worry, IBS is not life threatning.
I would suggest taking a long look at your diet.
Start making simple changes as you can.
Don't freak or go over board because stress can actually trigger the IBS.
Fat is the second main trigger. Can you recall after eating at certain resteraunts how you have to hit the bathroom quickly?
Alcohol has got to be the worst thing possible for IBS.
Next would be fried foods.
Then if your not getting relief you need to reconsider some of your dairy products.
There is also products available over the counter you could try like
taking in more fiber and trying the meds that help digest dairy protiens.(ask the pharmacy)
I dealt with it for many years.I just avoided the foods and places that caused me trouble.
My changes came 18 months ago when I had sudden changes.
I developed sudden severe constipation, 5 mths of hives, cronic allergy probs and pelvic pain that I had never had before. Basically I got real sick and no one could figure it out.
So through all my pushing of the Dr's to get certain tests done, I am finally having surgery this Jan to look for endometreosis.
Talk about a nasty syndrome!
Just imagine having constipation while taking GlucXR!?!
So for a recap...
Start with an increased fiber intake. There are plenty of products available to take. The natural way would be from fruits and veggies.
Give this a good month to kick in.
Avoid greasey foods.
Increase your water intake.
Let us know how your feeling ok?
