Ah ha! I am NOT alone. DH looks at me werid when I eat Jalepeno chips with cottage cheese...or olives in cottage cheese. Thinking about it right now makes me sick but about a week before af comes thats all I want. Caprese salad is another thing I crave around that time so I make sure I have lots of tomatoes and Fresh Mozz cheese around.

Since I started met and spiro, I've been craving tomato sauce as well! Sometimes a jar of pasta sauce and noodles is all that even sounds good to me and I'll eat it for several meals in a row. I've been going through a lot of pickles lately, too.. but then again I love pickles in the first place.

it's really great to know i'm not alone on this weird food craving thing! =D

Lately I've been craving fruit like you wouldn't believe...I mean...I went through a big thing of strawberries, cantelope, blueberries, grapes and cherries in 4 days. I am a veggie lover, so this is really weird. Last night, I got weird cravings for cheese and tuna salad. I also crave salmon (was never a fan before) and sushi almost every week. I've noticed that lately my cravings are getting stronger and more weird... my DF always complains because I waste food because I go on a binge at the store and by the time I get home, my cravings have changed!!

I don't like the sweet pickles though! I tried them once and hated them. I thought there was no pickle I couldn't tackle! lol

Tomato sauce and pasta for me too, and I hate tomatoes as well!

Last month I went through a ham/chicken/turkey breast sandwich with mayo and loads of honey mustard phase. This month it's muffins, oatmeal cookies, and the huge one is cold potatoes - potato salad, cold scalloped potatoes, even cold mashed potatoes (leftovers in the fridge).
A constant craving is cinnamon... I put it in and on everything, from toast to coffee to fruit to sprinkling it on muffins. When I bake I put in twice as much cinnamon as the recipe calls for, I can't get enough!

I've always been bad when it comes to food cravings, and they fluctuate with time; the weirdest one I've ever had was probably when I was mixing brown beans and tuna for a wicked megaprotein boost before ballet classes. Looks disgusting and tastes kind of weird, and has the unfortunate side effect of grossing out anyone who happens to see what you're eating. Nothing better if you need protein, though!
I also went through a grapes in peanutbutter phase a few years ago.. grapes were all I could eat on the day of performances, so I'd put peanut butter on them to get some calories and protein into me at the same time. After two months of that I got sick of it and can't look at grapes and peanut butter together now

wow, i can definitely relate to the grapes and peanut butter too! i have them with almonds on the side for breakfast! that's so funny! also with potatoes sometimes, although lately it's been potato chips! i really wonder what it is about the tomato sauce and i wish i could find out if it was the pantothenic acid or what...lol, especially since i can't stand tomatoes themselves.

i'm not a big fan of sweet pickles but i looooooove the salty ones!

lovin life...i wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish i had the food cravings that you do instead of the ones i have now, lol. i really love fruit and salmon and they're all pretty good for you (especially compared to steak, pasta and meat sauce, lol) so i'm sure i'd be feeling a lot better if i was eating those instead. but i can definitely understand that fluctuating cravings are kind of annoying and get old, lol!

what was the "weirdest" craving anyone's ever had?? one time, i was craving a plain bagel with cold cream cheese and ketchup! and i never eat bagels or cream cheese! love ketchup though, lol! everybody around me was so grossed out.

I'm not alone!! Man I crave the weirdest things. Last month I was all about pickles. Like seriously, on my lunch break I went and bought a jar from the store everyone kept asking if I had "something to tell them" "Like what?" I asked, stuffing my face full. And milk. OOOh and I uh... *hides head* actually was craving vinegar so badly I put in on icecream a while ago... mixed with some maple syrup. And at the time it was sooo good. I tried it again afterwards just to test the "erinn is crazy" theory, and I'm afraid they were right. NASTY! And sometimes I like mustard on oranges. Or springrolls. And I'm another one who doesn't like chocolate (well I used to years ago but then the smell made me nauseous) and lately I've been practically twitching without it.

Last summer the cravings totally hit me. I had sushi for like 2 months straight, I couldn't get enough! Then immediately after that it went to watermelon.

Now, I've always like watermelon but it's like it was the only thing that could quench my thirst... I literally ate 3 whole watermelons by myself in about 3 weeks... like full size ones... but hey, they're high in fiber and vitamin B so i wasn't going to fight it!

The watermelon craving is coming back a little bit right now but it's not nearly what it was last summer. As for pickles, I've been able to sit down and eat a jar of those basically my entire life (dill only). There was something else recently that was a little bit weird that I just couldn't get enough was, but I can't quite remember what it was. I think it was canned tuna and orzo.

As for weird combinations, we accidentally discovered one day that sweet thai chili sauce is greeeeaaaat with spinach artichoke dip.... trust me!!

How do you have that strength? The moment I get a craving it's so strong it;s unbelievable. I can crave it for days non-stop until I give in. I admire the willpower you have.

I get cravings for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which isn't weird. BUT I like to dip them in Taco Bell mild sauce. It is delicious.

Oh my God, don't get me started! Pickles, white rice with ketchup on it, warm tortillas with butter and salt on them, and green mangoes with salt on them. I too wonder what I'll crave when I get PG!
