Seriously though - what's TMI between friends on Met... hehehe
Anyway - lately I have noticed my urine smells - not like a BAD smell just an odor. I have also noticed that my sweat smells odd; and so does my discharge. It's all a sugary smell - if that makes any sense.
Drawing on my not-that-extensive education on metabolism and side effects, that sounds a bit like ketosis. It's essentially what you get when you're burning a lot of fat for fuel. Type IIs get it if their blood sugar dips really low for a while. If there's not enough glucose in your blood for the amount of insulin you have to convert it, it starts pulling it out of fat cells instead.
It's okay for a little while, but if it goes on for more than a week or two, you'll want to get it checked out.
Of course, like I said, I'm not exactly an expert in metabolism. Someone else may have a better idea of what's going on.
HAving a fruity smell to your breath, urine and/or sweat is a sign of ketoacidosis as the previous poster said, which is a warning sign of Type 2 diabetes, so you really need to get it checked out. If you're insulin resistant, your pancreas may have finally maxed out its capacity for producing insulin and if this is the case, you may have developed T2 Diabetes.
Ketoacidosis is serious stuff. It raises the uric acid levels in your blood, can cause electrolyte imbalances which can cause heart problems, it can cause kidney problems, it can even kill you. Please get it checked out!
My first morning trip to the bathroom smells that way too. Reminds me of the smell of Sugar Crisp cereal. Once I'm up, and getting fluids in me, the urine doesn't have that odor. The only time I've never had the odor was after surgery. I had a continuous supply of fluids in my system from an IV.
I agree with the others, you need to get it checked out. It could be that you are not getting enough fluids in your system to dilute the waste in your urine, or it could be more serious.

Thanks for the info - as this original post is 2 months old; I have already gone to the Dr, and gotten it figured out.
It was that ketoacidosous thingy. I haven't nearly as many problems since I've adjust my diet and cut out the carbs. I have also lost a bit of weight, so I'm doing much better.
Just gotta get my fasting insulin below 10 and I'll be happy. (then I can take clomid)
