Unhappy Weird red stuff on my face

Hi, new member here. I've been diagnosed for about ten years now, not currently ttc, but it is in the cards in the next year or two, so I'm trying to get back in the habit of giving a horse's patootie what I'm doing about it.

So, I have this... red stuff on my face. It's all over my chin below my lips and around my nostrils and in the inside ends of my eyebrows above the bridge of my nose, though redness isn't really a problem in my eyebrows. This skin feels very tight and has a different, finer texture than the rest of my skin, similar to the skin inside a stretch mark, but without the ladderlike features. It sheds ALL THE TIME. In the shower in the morning, I can rake off big white rinds of dead skin with my nails, and I'm still shedding/tight-feeling again by the afternoon(this is WITH my moisture regimen). It does not itch at all, there is no fluid or edema, and it is not raised.

I have tried using sensitive skin cream cleanser (Avalon Organics), as well as tried to exfoliate all the skin off (see above), and I've also tried baking soda as a pH-changer/mild exfoliant, which seems to extend the relief for a few hours. I have also gone for a week without washing my face (aside from water on it in the shower), and while redness is slightly reduced, flakes are king.

I have tried using Na-PCA solution by TwinLab, which is your skin's natural moisturizing factor, and it worked, but after a few months, the flakes are back. Now, I mostly rub Vit E oil into the problem spots twice a day. I don't have any associated cystic acne (thank heavens!) but I do have hirsutism.

The lack of itching or weepage seems to eliminate eczema or psoriasis, but it's not acne either. Please help!

The last time I went to a dermatologist, I had similar flaky patches on my chest and they did a biopsy, but came up with nothing and told me to put urea on it. They said it wouldn't scar, but I have a tendency to form keloids, so... not gonna let them punch a hole in my face.

Also, I have no health insurance, so that's a big barrier to both seeing a specialist and getting treatment. I'm trying to find OTC ways of dealing with it.

I actually don't wear makeup because I tended to get bad acne when I did, and its a waste of time in the morning for me anyway LOL.

Cleanser has been fairly constant for about 9-10 months.

Go to another Dermatologist, I am sure there are Cosmetic Enhancements Treatment available for what you have as long as you can afford it.
It could be anything and applying all kinds of different lotions could make things worse, best to seek professional help.Talk to your pharmacist if you cannot afford a dermatologist.

I have a patch on my cheek like that! My mom has one as well and went to the derm. for it. He told her that it was pre-cancerous and gave her cream to put on it that is supposed to "burn" it off. I don't have insurance so mine is staying put for the moment.
