My Mood: Points: 2,233.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,233.07 | Weird symptoms? Hi again. So, after trying vitex for a while, and discovering that it might very well raise my already high LH levels, I switched to black cohosh, taking one a day from the first day of my period (12/27) until (I thought) I ovulated. Of course, with cycles like mine, that's a pretty wild guess... But anyway, I took my last one about a week and a half ago, when I started noticing that thick, milky CM (sorry if that's too much info).
Anyway, now it's 1/25, no period, and for the last week, my breasts have been *killing* me--swollen, heavy, and sore. I always got a little achy for a day or two before my period, but this is ridiculous. Could it be that I actually ovulated only recently--or maybe just that I actually ovulated (and hadn't been doing so before)? I'm really curious because it seems like the black cohosh has done something; I just don't know exactly what.
In the "wow, that's weird" category, I've also had a nosebleed, I kid you not, every day for the last week. Anyone have any thoughts? |

My Mood: Points: 2,233.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,233.07 | Lol. That is a possibility in the back of my mind... But I guess that's why I'm asking--does anyone have incredibly sore breasts for a full week just from ovulation/PMS? Even if this just means that the black cohosh is actually making me ovulate, that's still be good enough news to make me smile. (Pregnancy seems just too much to hope for.)
In any event, AboveTheExtreme, I like the way you think. |

My Mood: Points: 2,233.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,233.07 | Oh no--not ruled out. I'm 28, and really hoping to have kids in the near-ish future. I do get pessimistic sometimes, and that's hard--particularly on my relationship. He can't understand why I sometimes seem determined to live with the possibility that I can't have kids, when I just don't know yet...
Anyway, I've been figuring that the best route to pregnancy later is to try to normalize my cycle now, hence the black cohosh attempt. But I'm just a little weirded out (in a positive way) by this soreness--I can't even cuddle up to my guy without wincing, and when my goddaughter nestled her head against me during a nap, I gasped. It's been a solid 8 days of this--so I'm wondering what folks know. From what I understand, it's unlikely they'd be sore from pregnancy before the would-be start date of my period; but being a PCOS chick, I don't really know when that would be. Lol. |

Every time I get mine it seems to be a whole new set of issues when it used to be just pain...now it's pain, sex drive, fatigue, hungry OR lack there of, itching, extremely sore and swollen breast...My body just has a field day...maybe yours is just changing a bit.

My Mood: Points: 2,233.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,233.07 | Yeah, who knows? I've been off the BCP for three years now--two years or so with a period every three or four months... Sometimes longer. Then I split with my husband, and bam--a period every 30-37 days ever since. Less stress, I suppose... Anyway, after the BCP, my PMS symptoms went back to what they'd been before: achy breasts for a day or two, slight acne, an upset stomach, and an attitude problem.
This time, I don't feel overly emotional, I am breaking out some, no stomach problems, and 9 days of breast pain. It's just strange. Guess I'll wait and see if a period shows up, and if not, I'll take another test, and hope my sweetheart can handle a little more stress. Thanks a lot for listening and chiming in--just nice to talk to folks who know what I'm babbling about. |

if your BB tenderness started right after you Oed, at the beginning of your 2ww, then you might still be in the middle of your 2ww, so you might have a few more days to wait until you get a +HPT if you are PG. So sounds like you have a good plan in mind to test again if AF doesn't show. Keep us posted.
jenhome29,
AF should show up about 2 weeks after you O'ed, unless you are PG. A +OPK means that you will O in the next 24-48 hours (I think) so if you O'd 2 days after the +OPK, on cd16 (at the latest) then AF should show up about 2 weeks later, so probably any day now, unless you are PG. Have you tested? If you have tested, and got a BFN, then welcome to the world of TTC with PCOS, where our bodies can be pretty unpredictable at times. Good luck, keep us posted.

My Mood: Points: 2,233.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,233.07 | Hmm, so I started bleeding a little bit this morning, but my breasts are still just as sore as they were. If that means I ovulated 14 days ago, that would put that at 1/13, with this pain starting on 1/18. I don't know why I'm so skeptical about this--it's weird. Logically, I probably just got my period, but I have this nagging doubt. Lol. Must be wishful thinking. |

My Mood: Points: 15,048.02 Bank: 191,009.13 Total Points: 206,057.15 | I've got terribly sore breasts too. I'm worried. They only do this to me when my hormones get whacked. And my gums bleed. Not so much the nose, but it has happened. If I were you, I'd get to the doctor in the next few weeks. I'm gonna stay in my happy-denial-land for a bit longer. It's never meant anything good before for me. But everyone's different. And apparently they are pregnancy symptoms, so if you're trying...
