Default Weird, weird Diane35 experience

Ok, so 2 Monday's ago I started my 6th pack of Diane. Up to that point everything had been fine. I got my period on time and had no real side effects. The Tuesday after starting the new pack I started getting pain in my calf. I came and went and didn't have any of the other markers associated with blot clots. So I kept taking it. My leg pain gradually got worse each day until sometimes I couldn't put much weight on that leg.

I went to the doc and he said he doubted it was a blood clot since the only symptom I had at the time was the pain. He thought better safe than sorry and sent me to the Hospital for an ultrasound of my leg veins the next morning. Nothing came up on the ultrasound so the doctor left it up to me if I wanted to stop the pills or keep taking them. I decided to keep taking them.

The next morning I woke up with extreme pain between my shoulder blades. It just wouldn't go away. Then my ribs started hurting. They would pinch and radiate pain for several seconds and then go away. So after a few days of this I decided to stop the Diane just to see if it was the cause. Within hours of when I should have taken my pill the pain was gone. My leg was fine, my back was fine and my ribs were fine. Within HOURS. Weird, huh?

So I don't know what to make of it. Anybody have any ideas? Why did I do fine on it for 5 months? So, so, so weird.

That is really weird! I've been on Diane for 5 years, and for the most part, things have been okay.

Glad that your pain is gone now that you're off. Even though the ultrasounds didn't really detect anything, it's important that you feel okay.
