I couldn't wait no longer to tell our story. It's been a while since I've been on the site and have missed everyone. It's been a busy couple of months. Feb. 28th of this year I got a call from my brother that he met a girl on the road that actually has been traveling with a carnival that was pregant and wanted to give up her baby for adoption. I thought YEAH RIGHT, like this is gonna happen. Well that same night, the birthmother called me. She told me how far along she was and that she was suppose to be having a baby girl. I talked to her for 2 weeks on the phone a few times a week. She was close to delievery so we had to get her up here and get her in to see a dr. So March 20th we flew her up from Florida and I got her in to see a Dr. and get the baby checked out. They did a ultra sound and everything looked great with the baby. But I wasn't sure that she was a girl because they couldn't see that part.
Well April 16th our baby girl was born. I was active in the whole thing. The Dr. appts, the delivery and everything. The birthmom had to have a C-sec so I was able to go in and watch her being born and everything. I carried her to the nursery, I told them her name and got to give her her first bath, her first feding, EVERYTHING, it was wonderful. My husband and I even got our own room to stay in so that we could be just as much part of it as we had given birth to her. Oh she's so special , she's our little miracle baby. And believe me, we do believe in miracles and believe that the Lord had a part in this. She's my little testimony. The reason that I say this is that I prayed for so long to get pregnant and then I started changing my prayers, I told the Lord to leave it in his hands and that if there was a child out there for us to please help us and we would do it. It wasn't a month later that we got the call. It wasn't something that we were looking for. Yes we read on adoption, we've thought about it and also foster care, but was clueless as how to go about it and how to come up with the money. The Lord found our baby, brought her to us, allowed us to come up with a way to pay for the court and everything. The birth mother had 72 hours after birth to change her mind, she fell on a weekened so we actually had to wait over 72 hours and we went that Monday and she signed the papers, Tuesday we went before the Court and made up the petition, We still have to have a homestudy done and everything, and we now have temporary custody until it's all finally which they said would only be maybe at the most 2 months. So she's here with us now. The birth mother is gone and back on the road. Last night was my first night alone with her since my husband was on midnights. She's just a blessing and like I say , she was sent to us by the Lord. We love her so much and I wouldn't love her anymore if she had of been born from my body. We both do. I wanted to share this with you. So please don't give up hope. There still is hope and have faith because there is a way. The Lord will provide. God bless you all. That is a great story I am happy for you! I have a story like that too. I have a daughter who is almost 9 yrs old and when i was 28 i was wanting another baby really bad, but pcos, of course wouldnt let that happen! so, i kept praying about having another baby and i said to myself if i dont have another baby before i turn 30 that is it i am done trying and even thinking. And it took 1 yr of taking met and losing 30 lbs and not even ttc. and i had my baby 2 months before my 30th b-day! It was a miracle! I was soo happy! congrats!!!!!! for you!!!! you are blessed!
