What is autumn like in your part of Canada? In southern Ontario it's beautiful. My favourite time of the year. Here in Niagara we begin the celebrations with the Niagara Wine Festival. It runs for 10 days, and wraps up this weekend with a huge parade. There are winery tours, tastings, a craft show, a food pavillion and concerts. Then we enter "craft show" season as Thanksgiving approaches. By then the colours have begun to change a bit and the air is cooler and fresher, and stays that way. It's cool and fresh today, but by Sunday they're talking about a humidex of 30 again. Blah.
We honeymooned in Bayfield and Goderich on Lake Huron in southwestern Ontario, and it was at the peak of the colours when we were there. It was amazing. Looking over the Maitland river at a hillside ablaze with colour was breathtaking. There is nothing quite like autumn in southern Ontario.

I am near Toronto so we don't have all the wine but its still beautiful...We generally get out more on nature walks and this is a prime time for leaf collecting and crafts.
I love the smell in the air especially at the cottage *sigh* I love fall...

Oooh, the smells. Leaves underfoot, the crisp air, and even the smell of apples as they lay on the ground. And then there's the days when the sky is slate grey, but it's bright, as though the gold of the leaves were lighting up the very air around you. Autum is my favourite season!

Fall here is so ugly. The wind is blowing the leaves off the tree before they have a chance to change color. There is a lot of dry leaves around though...sounds cool when you step on them lol

The year we got married, the autumn colours were at their peak when we honeymooned, and when we got back, they had hit their peak here. It was like getting autumn twice.

I love the autumn and am so sad to see that winter will soon be around the corner.
Don't forget that the clocks go back not this weekend but next(Oct. 30th).

I'm about an hour north of Toronto, and the colours are just gorgeous. Autumn is my favorite time of year
I have never had the chance to go in the fall, but I would love to visit Algonguin Park in the autumn. Not just for the amazing colours, but I understand you can sometimes hear the wolves howl....that would be cool
I've been to Niagara, in all seasons, most recently last October for a wedding. Unfortunately, we stayed near the main tourist strip and didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the area.

I'm in Northern ontario and the leaves are almost all gone now and we are supposed to get our first snowfall tomorrow. We are supposed to get a fairly mild winter this year (hopefully this will turn out to be true)
