My Mood: Points: 342.49 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 342.49 | Welcome me please Hi, nice to meet you all. I haven't read around here quite enough to know if there are others in my position yet, but here goes.
I am 40 years old and just suffered a miscarriage. This was my first ever pregnancy. I was dx'd with PCOA in my very early 20's, tried Clomid and such with my first husband and never conceived. Progesterone levels never went above a 0.5,
I've been remarried for 8 years. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. He knew my situation and we were okay with not having children of our own.....until this. Now that I have stopped crying, we're going to start trying. I've just started PNV, Metformin for my IR, baby asprin. We will do a Clomid challenge after my second normal cycle. My worries are that my cycles have always been soooo irregular. I've given myself 12 months to see what happens, because at my age, well, I just don't want to be on the cover of some magazine.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say hello and tell you my story. |

I certainly hope that as you are ready to TTC again that you will have success.
Did your doc monitor your progesteorne levels, especially with your history of low progesterone?
I m/c'd a few years ago, and I think that it was because my progesterone dropped too low. With this PG, I requested P4 level checks to make sure that my progesterone didn't drop again. It was fine at first, but then I asked for 1 more P4 check at 7 weeks, and it had dropped to 10.6, so I was started on supplemental progesterone right away, and we managed to save this PG before the progesterone dropped too low.
I wish you great success, and I am sending a ton of baby dust your way.

My Mood: Points: 833.11 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 833.11 | OM Gosh. Well I am so sorry about your miscarriage. I want to welcome you to SoulCysters. I was a Soul Cyster many years back when the site was fairly new, and technically now a newbie since I am just now coming back. Here you will get all of the support you could possibly dream of! I myself, finally gave up on concieving. I met a wonderful man that was a single father of a little baby. The bio mom gave up her rights and I adopted her. I think right now I am just of the mindset that if I get preggo great! If not, I have my daughter. You do love them the same, but honestly that yearning is still there to see yourself in your child. I spent my lifesavings (literally) trying to concieve, and I just cannot anymore! Thats why this iste is so great...you can rant rave laugh and cry all when you need to from the comfort of your own home!
