Long story short, I have left ovarian pain usually in the middle-ish of my cycle. Pretty sure I'm annoulatory still. I posted something in the "Do You Have This Problem" section and from what others had said, it could be that my ovary is TRYING to ovulate but is just too hardened to do so. Been taking 1500mg Met for a couple months now... seems to be helping regulate my cycles..... but will it help this left ovary anomaly of mine!?
PCO are usually covered in a white coating. I don't know anything about them being "hardened". Met helps women with PCOS ovulate - therefore it has to somehow dissolve this coating or cause the egg to be able to push through (or reducing the IR has this effect. Who knows?)
