Well now I am really discouraged!!

First I wanted to thank you all for giving me advice on the finishing prometrium and still no period.

I called my doc and after taking a HPT she wants me to start BCP until we start trying (which will be in April 2007 because I am waiting to be closer in finishing school).

She said at that point she will put me on clomid. But don't you have to get a period in order to start clomid?

This is flipping frusterating. I feel like I am broken or something!!!!! I know I need to get a period but I don't want to be on BCP! Whats the point if I can't get pregnant anyway?

Plus I am following her advice of diet and excercise and still nothing. I know most of you know that I can't take Met because I'm like one of the 2 people in the world who is allergic.

I'm sorry to be so sad and pathetic. I am so scared that I won't be able to have a baby!

Is there anyone out there who didn't take met and got pregnant???

When the time comes , if you still have no af, she will bring it down with provera/prometrium. But since you are going on bc pills , I am sure you will get a monthly af. Don't get discouraged. This will give you the time to do what you have to finish.

don't worry about getting your period, when i was taken off bc i didn't get my period for a whole year, i was even given metformin during that time which didn't help anything. as soon as i started trying to conceive they induced my period with provera the first month and then switched me over to another drug (can't remember the name) b/c they thought i was developing a blood clot from provera. there are lots of drugs out there and alot of very good doctors. clomid didn't work for me alone, my first two cycles absolutely nothing happened, then i was given a steriod with it for third cycle and i got pregnant. stay positive, it can happen. i wish you the best of luck.

Bre .... I have spoken to quite a few women who did get prego without the met. Just Dont loose hope. I think your body responds different when your positive. We are all here for you! If you ever need a sholder just pm me. I am looking into TTC which before I found this site I had given up on all together!

Thanks all. I just want to start trying like right now just to see if I can get pregnant, but DH thinks I should wait until closer to school being done. He says if we try right now you will get pregnant right away and then what about school. But I just feel if I wait its goint to be 7 months longer than I am not having a baby. I don't think he understands the severity of the issue.

Bre - I totally know how you feel. I am on my very first round of Clomid. I keep thinking that everything will happen for a reason and I am trying to be patient! Hang in there! I'm here for you!

Hi There! First Of All, Dont Be So Hard On Yourself! You Are Not Sad And Pathetic! But I Think We Can All Agree We Have Felt That Way At Times. I Actually Had Taken Met. When I Was Doing Treatments At The Re. And Actually The Month We Had Stopped Going Due To Moving Etc. I Became Pregnant! I Dont Know If I Just Got Lucky, Or Perhaps It Was Still In My System. But I Would Have To Say Yes It Is Possible Because It Happened For Me, Twice!
