Default Wellbutrin gives me the CRAZIES

Oh my lord, I've been on my wellbutrin SR at 150mg a day and I have been flying off the handle at EVERYONE. It's like something crawled under my skin and set up shop. Anyone else go competely hardcore b*tchy? Mine is like PMS x10. Lol...I just yelled at my husband to turn down the tv as I wrote that last sentance. Oh well...I'm not going to stop taking them b/c of this, just wanted to know if anyone had similar side effects. Geez...I just yelled at him again for reading over my freaking shoulder. Thats just so annoying!!!

I had the same reaction to Welbutrin while taking it about 4 years ago. I also got little blisters on my tongue sometimes, I had to stop taking it after 6 months of trying to make it work. It worked GREAT for depression and weight loss and energy but it turning me into a raging psycho out of the blue....LOL. Taking Lexapro now....Celexa was okay too.

I didn't last long enough to become a raging *****, the stuff gave me ungodly migraines and after a week I stopped taking it.

Good to know I'm not insane hehehe. I almost lost it today at my inlaws. They get on my nerves so bad with their stupid comments and opinions. I swear my eye twitched the entire time I was there and the second we got into the car I started SCREAMING at my husband. I've been doing research and alot of people say that the anger and a few other things are very common when you start and they tend to disapear within 2-3 weeks. I think alot of the anger comes from the fact that we live with my parents right now and I have NOWHERE to go to be by myself. It always seems that if I go upstairs someone has to be there if I go downstairs they have to be there too. I can't even go into the bathroom without one of the cats opening the door up wide because the lock and door knob doesnt work. We should be in our new house in 2 weeks, until then I'm going to have to try and control it.

Ugh - you need to ask for something else. Trying to get depression meds right is THE WORST. Not only are you feeling horrible but then you have to worry about side effects and I actually anticipate them when I start something new. I think I FINALLY have mine at a pretty decent level - but my psychiatrist said there will probably be "tinkering" as we go along. GRRRRRRR

Goodness... LOL I don't remember being a raving lunatic when I first started it, but I might have. I'm still on it and Lexapro and I think I'm normal.

I'm using Wellbutrin and it's mostly ok...but I don't really tollerate SSRI's...I feel worse on them after a while. I will say that the initial boost in energy from the Wellbutrin has begun to wane as I've gotten acclimated to the increased levels of norepinephren...so I'm back to being tired again like I was before I started on it...only my emotions are still more stable. I have also lost 12 lbs in the 6 1/2 weeks I've been on it.

I do wonder if it is partly responsible for my 'hot flashes' and sweats lately...especially in the first half of the month...they began during my first full cycle after starting on it and peaked at day 14 ....and then got better. Same thing happened this month. weird.

I do occasionally feel more angry/aggressive, but it's hard to know if it's from the wellbutrin or the elevated testosterone as I'm not on anything for it yet, or a combination of the two.

I was a total witch on wellbutrin! I literally thought I was going crazy on it. Horrid headaches and I didn't get an energy surge. In fact I literally had to go home early from work and fall asleep, praying I could actually make it home on my own. On top of it all, I was extremely on edge. I felt like I had something under my skin. It was like I was having a bad trip. I tried it for only a week and half before calling my doctor and telling her I'd stopped taking it. I couldn't handle the side effects and it wasn't worth it to me. I'm now trying Celexa. I noticed a slight positive effect on it, but not enough so I asked for more. I just upped my dose to 40 mg and having trouble figuring out if it's the Celexa or the Prometrium I'm taking that's giving me the side effects, but I've been on edge and a bit loopy. Thinking it's the prometrium though, cuz I know it has bad side effects. Guess I'm waiting to see on the Celexa.

OMG! Wellbutrin gave vme the crazies as well! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. lol After about 3 weeks, I asked my doctor to take me off. I didn't really need the anti depressants anyway. I just needed to sort things out.

Not diagnosed with PCOS, seeking second opinion, once I get health insurance.
