Hey Ladies,
I'm one BCP #5 (Yasmin) and I decided on my own accord to ask for Wellbutrin to take in conjunction with the BCP because of the severe depression I have been facing lately as well as the weight gain & other yuckies associated with my intolerance to BCP's.

?: Anyone else taking Wellbutrin or Wellbutrin in concert w/ a BCP?

I am still on week one of Yasmin & I just upped my dose of Wellbutrin from 150mg to 300mg. I feel pretty good.

I did a search for Wellbutrin on this site & didn't find much.. I'm sure some of you are taking it...

Hey there, my Dr. had put me on Wellbutrin in conjunction with BCP (Diane 35)...over the course of 1 year I had lost weight and was feeling great.

Then started doing research, and decided that I wanted to get off of BCP so I stopped taking them. (Bad choice, not Dr. reccommended). I tried the natural approach, and was using Progerterone cream instead. I have now gained 45 pounds in the last year.

Just went back to the Dr. and after not taking the BCP and Wellbutrin for 13 months. So, needless to say, as of last week I am now back on BCP and Wellbutrin again.

The only thing I remember from when I first started taking it, that is took a couple of months to feel the full effects of Wellbutrin, but it was worth it.

I take Yasmin, Met, Spiro, Wellbutrin and Paxil. So far the only thing I've had problems with from the wellbutrin is anxiety, wich is why the doc added a low dose of paxil since then no problems. I definately can't stop taking wellbutrin anytime soon after a few years on it I decided t go off w/o asking my doc and I was such a b*tch no one could stand me. Also within my firt week of taking the wellbutrin i quit smoking and it was easy didn't have the nic fits id d when i tried quiting w/o it. I also find that when taking it I am not coonstantly hungry or comfort eating and lose weight due to the fact that im only eating for fuel. hopes this helps a little.
