Default Wellbutrin XL 300 mgs per day

I am taking the long acting or sustained release Wellbutrin (Wellbutrin XL) 300 mgs a day. When I first started taking it, it was great. Now, I feel it has plateaued. I am also on Topomax 75 mgs per day at night which is normally both used as either anti-seizure medication or anti-migraine medication but my doctor has prescribed it as a mood stabilizer for me.

My query with Wellbutrin XL is this: When I take the Wellbutrin XL in the morning, I usually take it with just a bite of food. I head off to work and around 10:30 - 11 a.m. I have a coffee and a muffin or some other small snack like a granola bar, for example. Shortly after eating, I get these stomach issues... pain, grumbling, etc. On the rare morning when I have forgotten to take my Wellbutrin, this stomach issue doesn't happen. Has anyone else had stomach issues? I also find I am not as regular with going to the bathroom on Wellbutrin XL. What have been your experiences? Anything similar to mine? I am going to see my doctor on Tuesday next week and want to discuss this with him.

Thanks,
dreamy28

I wasn't on Wellbutrin XL before, but just plain Wellbutrin. When I first started taking it, it worked pretty well. Little nagging things that would usually bother me didn't, I felt I could relax more. But over time, I started feeling very wired and like I didn't have control of my body. I'd feel jumpy. It may work well for different people. It did work pretty well in terms of depression, but I didn't like the side effects.
