First off let me say that I LOVE MY DOCTOR!!!!! His name is Dr Frank Lee. He is in Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. If any Maryland cycters need a good Endo.

Second he put me on 150mg of synthriod. My levels are just not dropping. I am kinda nervous about taking such a large does. I started on 50mg, then up to 75mg, and now 150mg.

Does anyone take this much? Did you have any side effects? Did it help you shed weight?

Well I'll start by saying that I was on 50 too, then they upped me to 75 and for the moment i'm ok on this, but when I last visited my doctor I asked him what the maximum was that a person could take daily and he says it's you body weight in kilos multiplied by around 1.6, like if you weigh 70kg x 1.6 the maximum you can take is 112 daily....

When they upped my dosage recently, I didn't loose weight, but it did stop an unexpected weight gain that I was going through... I also felt a bit weird for the first month, but this isn't really helping you as you asked for info about such high doses.

LeaKat,

That is helpful info about the kilos.....I wonder if it is the same for pounds? My Dr was going to put me on 112, but then he said go ahead and take two pills. I would take 20 of them if I thought they would help me shed some of this weight.
