Hahaha.... noooo, first YOU will have to put up pictures with your scrubbing your pigs, and THEN I will look for someone raising them here, LOL! I doubt they will let me scrub them though - I am not an experienced pig washer after all. ROFL!

Growing up with animals is great - I think it's wonderful you can provide that environment for your kids and teach them respect for the animals and how to treat them. If they decide to move into the city later on - well, that is up to them, but at least they won't set kittens on fire or tie fire crackers to a dog's tail out of boredom... (sorry, animal cruelty is a major red flag for me. I can't believe the things some people will do to those loving, trusting creatures. I think that's one thing that could really send me over the edge! )

Peter's position is secure for now. Big relief. For the next 2 and a half months he will be subjected to scrutiny, but he also will have a colleague (an experienced manager of a different but comparable area, who is highly respected by the boss) as coach, to help him restructure or redirecting what needs changing (in the boss' eyes), and to steer the section more strictly and efficiently. That way, his carreer won't suffer (on the contrary), he "keeps his face" among his employees and the business unit won't lose a valuable and very knowledgable employee. Of course he will be living under a looking glass till December, so it will be stressful. But at least the waves are tamed for the moment.

So sorry to hear bout your impending head cold. I hope you and your family get better soon! I guess that's one advantage of not having kids - no school germs. On the other hand, I hang out in so many flamenco classes that I probably get them second hand via the parents, LOL! Have to have a flu shot again this year, last year's was really effective. I got sick right after, for 3 days or so (which they say can happen as basically you are injected with flu germs to build anti-bodies), but the rest of the years was really uneventful. Scratchy throat here, the sniffles there - but no major flu, which I am thankful for.

I am back in Onederland now. Phew. Took a while, and I hope I can stay here (198) and get back to my previous weight soon. I really want to lose some more before it's Christmas - or I will be right where I was a year ago, which would be very disappointing. Can you believe it? A year, and no weight loss??? ARGH!

Ok, on with my work day now!
Tina

LOL Okay, okay. If I can manage it this next week I will send you pics via my cell phone - might wash them once more just for you. I am not in any way experienced either, but I think Anna is by now after three years of it. This was the first year I had any involvement.

I am glad to hear that Peter was able to get that all figured out! Even with the continuing stress, at least he still has his position, etc.

WOO HOO! Good for you on making it back down! I have NO clue where I am at weight wise, haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks. I haven't been eating well this week, so I may not have changed much or I may have lost more.

Well, the cold is coming on strong tonight. I can only hope I will get to sleep as much as DH did yesterday when he came home. I only bothered him long enough to bring him soup. LOL I doubt I will get that though - moms tend to be left in the "cold" when it comes to being sick.

Hopefully we will all be better by next week and back to healthy! TTYL!

I am really looking forward to those pictures! But make sure you get over your cold first - I cannot imagine pig scrubbing a sensible activity in this weather! (Assuming your weather has gone cold as well. Over here, summer is most definitely over. Or rather, we never really had one in the first place... )

I have not much news. Quiet weekend, no activity except for watching a few bad movies on DVD. Doesn't exactly help my wasit line, so I am back above the "magic border". I am weak. I admit it. My carb addiction has a bad grip on me. Sigh ...

At least I have rehearsal tonight, dance class on Wednesday, and I start teaching my two classes this week Friday, so there will be more physical activity from now on. So there's some hope.

Talk soon!

Well, the cold came on a bit stronger last night - guess all of last week was just the preliminaries. *sigh* So, not feeling too chipper, but I will manage to get out and wash those pigs! I am determined to do so, but if I don't look so hot, you will know why. LOL

They are going to the butcher on Friday, so will have to deal with whatever weather comes our way. We are in the 70's here so not "too" cold, but not as hot as summer was, iykwim. We are supposed to get rain sometime this week, so I may be washing in the rain. LOL

I can't imagine they will climb back in the mudhole since the weather is changing, so they may stay cleaner than in the last several weeks.

Not much else going on here either. Don't beat yourself up too much though, everyone deserves some time off and a movie fest (even if the movies aren't so great, lol).

My DH went to a bachelor party and had a good time. It was a "clean" one - no girls, just a bunch of 30-somethings and all were married except the groom, so they got to tell him all of the horror stories of marriage. LOL Of course they had some drinking games, etc. There are always a few that just can't hold their liquor and those poor souls got cheeze-whizzed.

This just cracked me up...imagine a bunch of 30-something males (drunk) "sneaking" down the hallway to the rooms where those poor souls are passed out. Now imagine them all giggling and telling each other to be quiet, then entering the room, switching on the light (real sneaky, huh?) and taking that spray cheese and some hamburger buns and getting creative (this was clean fun, someone came out looking like princess Leah from Star Wars). LOL Of course noone was going to wake up, they were PASSED OUT! LOL

It was just funny to hear about and DH really had a good time. He doesn't get the chance to get out like that anymore - none of the guys really do, so I am sure it was just a good time for everyone.

That is about as exciting as it got around here, just trying to fight our colds, getting some housework done, etc. Did TONS of laundry and tonight I started quilting a quilt I need to finish by next month.

Keep in mind when you get the pics that they may not be that great with it being a camera phone - and my DD will most likely be the one taking them, so we'll see how it goes. LOL Take care!

Hey Tam, thank you sooooooo much for the pictures! It's so great to have a face with your name at last! LOL
The piggies do look like they are thoroughly enjoying themselves, haha... and so do you!

Sorry to hear you are still under the weather. I hope you feel peachy real soon again. I am sorry I didn't post earlier, but I was at a conference the last two days and I went straight to class afterwards on Wednesday, and I was totally wiped out last night when I came home. So today I am off, and I will start teaching my new classes tonight, so I have a lot to prepare for.

I'd better get a move on, it's already late....

Thanks again - and TTUS!

YAY! I was worried those pics wouldn't come thru somehow. Pigs went to butcher this morning. Anna and I are missing them already. *sigh* Looking forward to next spring and new babies though - keeps ME going at least. No tears from DD, she is probably thinking the same thing.

I'll try to get more pics up soon, the ones I REALLY wanted to put up. LOL

Hope the conference went well and that your classes go well tonight! I will check back in next week.

Hey Tam,
well, I only have a few minutes today, because I will be in workshops and meetings all day today and tomorrow. Thursday is my day off, so I won't be around here for a while - SORRY! It's just mad here at work.

TTUL!!!

Things here are busy too! LOL I am in the middle of getting my office cleaned out and situated so we can use it more effectively as a classroom. I am just about done - doing the last bit of cleaning tomorrow and then I have to work on my livingroom because that is where all of the boxes went!

I really hate paperwork, it seems like we just end up with a ton of it. I have gotten better about putting it where it needs to go right away, but we weren't always so good about it, so now I have boxes to go thru. I have a feeling we will have a good amount of things going into our burn pile this weekend. LOL

Not too much going on here, although the last time I stepped on my scale I was 5lbs heavier - SHREIK!!! I know, I know, I am pg, but I really don't want to be over 200lbs again. *sigh*

At least it won't be too long and I will lose it all again. I really have only gained a total of 5lbs with this pg so far (if my scale was right). I don't weigh myself everyday anymore, so it could have changed.

I can't believe I am almost half way thru already! It is amazing at how fast it can seem to go even though it seems to be taking forever. LOL I am feeling the baby move a lot - I have been from a pretty early time with this one, but the movements are getting stronger and Dh was able to feel a little kick the other night - just barely, but he felt it.

I really want to know what we are having, but DH still really doesn't want to know. He said that there are just not a lot of good surprises in life and who knows if we will ever get to have one like this again. *sigh* How do you argue with THAT? LOL He said he really likes to hear "it's a boy/girl" at the end of it all. So, most likely we won't find out what we are having at the u/s next Tuesday.

He won't be able to go at all this time which just plain stinks. He has never missed the "big u/s" with any of our other ones, but he won't be able to get out of a presentation he has to give that day and there is an 80 mile difference in the towns we will be in, so no way he could sneak from one to the other. *sigh* So, it will just be me this time around as my sister will watch the little ones and we won't take Anna out of school this time. Everyone will get to see the pics at least.

I am bummed about it - was looking forward to having everyone see the baby move, having Mackenzie and Edyn be able to "see" the baby move (Anna has been to both the others before so it isn't new). I guess that is just the way it is

The way things are going with this one maybe it is a boy. LOL I am hoping of course, I would like at least one, but I won't be unhappy if it is a girl, iykwim.

Well, I will probably check in after my u/s so I have some news - more than just what I ate, how much I weigh and what project I am in the middle of. LOL Take care!

Wow, it's so fun to hear all about your baby journey! Really exciting.
It sucks that your DH can't come along - but on the other hand, it would give you a chance to hear what the baby's gender is. If you then don't tell him, you'll know what you'll have, and he will be surprised on the big day - so both of you would be happy. IF you can keep the secret that is, LOL!

I am still (again) up at 200. Sniff. AF started today, so I am hoping it's just temporary, but I am very disappointed with myself. I had my first dance class with a "bata de cola", i.e. a flamenco dress with a long train (maybe you have seen them on pictures - on this page you can see two photos with a woman wearing a white one). It requires a specific technique and the skirt must be fitted perfectly, so that it "behaves" properly and you can control its moves with your own body. I had my bata made in Spain in March, and I was 6 pounds lighter back then. Plus, when they fitted it, I never wore an extra dance suit underneath (I should have...), so Saturday the skirt was TIGHT. I mean, VERY TIGHT. Thankfully, the dress is well made, so the seams didn't come apart, btu I really, really need to lose weight before the next class - I don't want to bust out of that 400 dollar skirt, LOL!
It's a lot of fun - but very hard work. I wish I had never stopped doin g jazz and ballet - I need all those muscles and all that flexibility now that I had back then (8 years ago - eeeek). So now it's daily stretching and sit-ups so I can manoeuvre the 9 pound (!) skirt properly. Should do wonders for my behind thoug, judging by the soreness of my muscles this weekend, LOL!

Right, back to work now. Let me know how the u/s went!

Tina
PS: How is Carlin doing? And Laura? Do you think they will come back here? otherwise we might resort to sending each other emails directly, might be easier... what do you think?

OOOooooooOOOOOoooo!!! Those skirts are so pretty! I have seen them before, and I think I have seen at least one performance with one. 9 lbs!!! Boy, now that would be a workout. LOL And with the cost you better bet my rearend would be working itself OFF! LOL I can't even imagine - I cringe whenever I buy a shirt over $10. LOL

U/S update...we didn't find out (I was good even by myself, lol). We decided no opening packages before Christmas. So, this one will be a surprise too. But everything looked good and I got some of those 4D pics, not sure if you have heard of/seen those. You can almost really see what the baby looks like, which is just so strange. If I can get into my parents house when they get back I will have to send you one to see. Of course both the regular u/s pics and the 4D ones are much clearer while they are being taken, but it still is just amazing!

Got shots of the little feet, arms, face and heartbeat along with the 4D's which were of baby sucking thumb and fingers - this one actually looked like it was "licking" it's fingers before it got to the thumb! LOL Now THAT was funny to watch.

I pm'd Carlin and her c/s is on the 19th, so I told her to check back in after she has that baby! I haven't chatted with anyone else since their last posts. I am so worried about Kris. Sometimes people just stop posting/emailing, etc. but it just doesn't seem right in this case - she hasn't been on since April. I haven't checked up on Laura lately, but hope she is doing well and getting settled in after the big move.

I think emailing is a great idea! I was going to suggest it myself since it is just the two of us. I think you can send me an email thru SC, so you can start that anytime. I am usually on it everyday chatting with another friend of mine. LOL

Well, it has been a long day so I am off to bed! Take care and hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Carlin, Laura and Kris,
it was only Tam and myself who kept posting here, so we have changed tactics and are emailing each other right now until you guys come back here. I will keep checking this thread, so please post something here so we know you came looking!

I hope you all are doing fine - we know Carlin is due to have her baby soon, Laura just moved and is probably trying to settle in, and we haven't heard from Kris in AGES. Let us know how y'all are doing?!

Tina

LAURA, YOU'RE BACK!! We missed you!!!
Carlin is having her baby soon, too. Kris went MIA - no idea where she is, we haven't heard from her in months.

So how are you doing? I for one do want to know what happened to you and why your were off the board for so long... if you feel like sharing, that is.

I put some weight back on myself and am struggling to get back to where I was, I want to get back below 200 (201 today...) and then back to the 193 I once weighed ... and then on towards my ultimate goal. But the scale won't move and I am getting tired and lazy of dieting.

Back to work, life is CRAAAAAZYYYYY!
