Hi ladies,

The voice on the end of the phone has finally given me my app to see Gyne, 21/05/02 its only took 10 phone calls but hey who's counting.

I wanted to post this to ask for your help to make the most of this app, so if any of you can help with what ? i should be asking i would be very gratefull.

Still in shock that its only 8 weeks away.

I used a lot of Lorna's questions, but changed them to suit my own case. My consultant was excellent and actually answered most of them before I asked them, but it would be a good idea to take a list of things you want to ask.

Good Luck - in the next 8 weeks if you think of anything else you need be sure to ask, someone will have the answer!

I went to my first appointment a few weeks ago and I was very nervous, but I tried to remember that the appointment was for my own benefit and it was my oppotunity to explain to the drs my symptoms And how they effected my day to day life. The day before the appointment I wrote down the questions I wanted to ask because you can soon forget what you want to say. I went with my husband, choosing to have someone with you is your decision but it was nice he was there for support. I think you have to be firm and confident when speaking to the drs because only you know how you feel. Don't feel rushed into making any decisions about treatment until you have thought about it. For what it is worth sites like this have been so much help to me personally, it gives you the confidence and support to seek help when you need it. My doctor was lovely. After taking a history I had baseline bloods and I went back a couple of days later for a trans-vaginal scan. I have a 3 month follow-up arranged and I will be having a tube check later on. I have decided not to have anything else yet. I wish you all the best of luck, go for it girl!!
