Unhappy Wham- sicker than sick...

All of a sudden last night I got sicker than sick! At about 3pm I got a horrible horrible headache at work and then I got home and I was nauseous as can be. I couldn't sleep all night, and finally got out of bed to get ready for work and I was soaking in the tub and all of a sudden it hit me, and I had to jump out, hop over to the toilet and throw up... and I'm still nauseous at work now and I'm getting on a plane at 3pm to go to my dad's for Thanksgiving. I feel like hell...the tiniest thought of food makes me want to hurl and all of a sudden my nose is really sensitive to the slightest smell...and here I was thinking I was going to be a lucky one and not get sick seeing as I've been on met for a just over a week and had no problems until yesterday.

I just had to vent...but I know I know, this will all be worth it in the long run...but gosh darn it this sure sucks, just all had to hit me for the holidays- just my luck!

Oh Tiff! I am so sorry! I never actually threw up, but I had all of the other side effects! I really hope the side effects pass soon. you may want to stop taking the meds...atleast until you get back home. I know you don't feel like eating, but that is the best thing for you to do!

Remember to take your meds with a non-greasy, non-"carby" meal.

I wish you luck!

you're right...I was able to get some mini muffins(i know i know bad carbs!!), carrots and some ginger ale down and I do feel a bit better.

Arghh, I'm thinking your right, this Met. is not coming to Wisconsin with me to ruin my thanksgiving dinner, lol!! It wouldn't be that bad if I stopped taking it until Saturday, would it?

Exclamation I'm with you girl!

Oh man, I feel ya. I got on today seeking solace and answers. I started my glucophage (850 mg/day) on the 12th of November (my third try and longest, this time no backing out!)and it seems my stomach cramps, nausea, throwing up and (eew, I know) chunky diarrhea sems to be getting worse every day. All of yesterday and night I have spent in my newly decorated bathroom. Good thing it's comfortable!

I have lost weight, how much I am not sure, but it's noticeable to those around me a lot, but I think that is half due to my gluc. and side effects, and half due to correct eating. But who wants to eat? Especially greasy stuff...I guess my love of mexican and soul food will have to wait out this pill. And to think I get to double it as soon as I adjust to this dosage!!! AARGHHH! Anybody with solutions? Sorry for the rant-wrong board-huh? Well, it's off to the little girls' room again!
Take care, Crina
