Calcium hydroxide is lye. The calcium thioglycolate is an acid. They are both strong chemicals, and it's the combination that dissolves the hair. And yes, they are completely natural, but they can be extremely irritating to the skin if you are careful. This product is no more "natural" than Nair or Neet.
They are trying to con you into thinking that just because they are "natural" that they are healthier, safer, or more effective. I'm sure it works just fine, assuming you are as careful as you would be with any hair remover.
